Former QB Coach Nick Siciliano (official thread)

None. Coach Siciliano joined Ohio State's staff before the 2005 season, years before Pryor stepped foot on campus. Tell your buddy he's full of shit.
Thanks. Will do, if I am in the mood to ever talk football with him again.

Is your sister the black sheep in the family?
Wife's brother. One of those Brady Hoke type scUM fans. His father's side of the family is from Michigan, but they are MSU fans. His maternal Grandfather was a huge tOSU fan, season tickets and all, and bro-in-law was close with him, so I don't get it. My wife is a big Buckeye fan, so I have to conclude that he was dropped on his head. Unfortuantely, I have to be nice. However, in the event that the meteor doesn't come I am now rooting for Notre Dame to ruin one of his saturdays every fall, something I've never done.

Question- Are part of our issues this year due to the fact that we lost our QB coach (Tressel)?

I know that Brax is young and Baus was never supposed to start, but is this also hampered by Coach Sic's limited experience with QBs (only working with Pryor, who was a freak of nature)?

Would love perspectives from others.

My question is: with Tressel gone and Bollman and Siciliano both in the booth, who is coaching the offense, and especially who is coaching the QBs, on the sidelines during the game?

From what I can tell there is no one, which is yet another indication that the offensive coaching staff is borderline incompetent and Fickell is in over his head.

I saw Baus go to the sideline phone twice yesterday, fwiw.

It would be nice to have a coach on the sideline to review things with the QBs face to face and to circle up the offense and let them know what's going on... No?

Also, the offensive line. When the defense is bringing blitzes, who sits down with them and goes over the adjustments to pick up the blocks. As mentioned earlier, Tressel leaves a huge void on the sideline for the offense, and it goes well beyond just the QBs.

Fickell needs to assert his will on the offense, including on the sidelines. Even if he admittedly knows nothing about it, he can't hurt anything.

No disagreement whatsoever. Just informing. It appears that this is the manner in which the staff has determined they're going to go about it. After the despicable display yesterday by the O, I'm not inclined to give a fuck right now. Quite apathetic.

The guy the quarterbacks converse with the most on the sideline is grad assistant Wes Satterfield. I'm not sure where he was stationed last year when Siciliano was downstairs.

As for the o-line, I'd assume Peterson talks to them. Kirk Barton was sitting next to Bollman in the booth.

Doesn't the very nature of this conversation and questioning cause concern? I guess I wouldn't be so worried if we just went out and had a bad performance, but when it seems like there is nobody to hold accountable or that will take responsibility and correct it I'm very alarmed.
