Oh come on.
I refuse to call a team a bunch of cowards after doing what they've done over the course of Meyer's career there. They've more than proven that they can play with and beat anyone.
Boom, just pinpointed where this whole thread spun out of control, my original intent of pointing out that list of cupcakes florida plays was to build on the sentiment that they have only been around since 1990 and to expand on what computerji pointed out about florida's scheduling choices.
3074326 got upset because I called florida cowards and he referenced Meyer's career as anything but cowardly, while he's got a point, and as I had previously acknowledged that the two titles are nice and all, I also agree with what jlb said in that I wouldn't trade what Ohio State did this decade for what Florida did either, even though they won an extra title.
Additionally, I had no original intent of stating that meyer is a coward, I was talking about the florida football team as a whole, that's why I referenced their cupcake schedules back to 1980 instead of focusing solely on meyer's career. It just so happens that florida still schedules like cowards when it comes to out of conference games.
Lastly, when I openly attacked meyer's career in that one post, I was simply trying to point out that yes he has won two national titles, thats fantastic and everything, I acknowledged that, but let's not forget if Iowa didn't get screwed over in the '05 Outback bowl, meyer would have a 3-2 bowl record instead of a 4-1 record alongside a host of victories against coastal carolina and what not. Still good, but nothing to cream the pants over like so many of you want to do. Again, let's see what meyer can do post-tebow and if he can rival what miami(fl) did in the '80s and what nebraska/florida state did in the '90s.
But, whatever I still hate florida and the entire sec, if that makes me sound like a michigan fan, I have absolutely no idea why that would be true, then I guess that's your own diluted or is it delirious mindset? Maybe both.
