Florida State Seminoles (official thread)

http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/13234576/dalvin-cook-florida-state-seminoles

From the article:

The woman, who lives in Tallahassee, told ESPN.com that she was approached by a man who was not Cook outside of the bar Clyde's and Costello's shortly after it closed on June 23. The woman said the man asked for her phone number, which she refused to give him.

"I told him I had a boyfriend and wasn't interested," said the woman, who spoke to ESPN.com on the condition she not be identified.

The woman said the man returned to the parking lot with Cook and an argument became heated, and then Cook punched her in the face several times. Her friend ran to a nearby Tallahassee Police car, which wasn't occupied, so the woman called 911.

"They kept telling me they were football players," the woman said. "They kept telling me to Google them. They told me they were football players and they could buy me in two years."

Statement from Tallahasee Jimbo:

"We spend a good deal of time educating our student-athletes about appropriate behavior and their responsibilities as representatives of Florida State... I remain committed to educating our young men and holding them accountable for their actions."

I'm sure he was defending himself. At this rate the National Guard is going to have to be called in to protect all these poor football players from these big bad women!!

whats funny is if every will check out www.arrestnation.com they will see there are many other teams in the SEC with MORE criminal activity on their football team than FSU. Every single FSU player gets written about on ESPN, while Alabama seems to be getting a pass. The SEC bias is very apparent.

Spencer, unfortunately that data only shows arrests made. Tough to get an accurate read on the situation when TPD is doing everything in their power to not arrest people.

Classy pick up line there. Good thing jimbo runs such a tight ship.

This is just a god damned disgrace.
Agreed. When will kids learn to live within their means?

I always go for the women I can afford to buy now, not in 2 years.

Best quote from the FSU site:

perhaps it is time for FSU to recruit athletes that are as academically as strong as the typical student body. The continued press on these issues is going to hurt...sooner or later...the reputation of FSU.

There is some fear that their fine reputation might be tarnished if this keeps up. These folks must have really long necks to get their heads that deep in the sand.

Fisher is now apologizing for issuing the following statement:

"It is important to me that our fans and public be aware that I do not tolerate the type of behavior that was captured on video"

What he meant to say is:

"It is important to me that our fans and public be aware that I do not tolerate the type of behavior if it was captured on video"
