The way the Cryami faithful would tell it is that he won the NC with recruits that he did not directly bring in in 2001.
He then takes Miami to the NC game against you know who...
After which it has all been downhill - where downhill = 9-3, and an embarrassing loss in the Peach Bowl to LSU.
If anything you could make a very convincing argument that Coker has taken damn little responsibility for his club's failures on the field. (Instead he chose to axe every assistant and coordinator in sight).

wow... think about this stat: over the last two games, the Canes have averaged NINE YARDS in the second half...
absolutely ZERO halftime adjustments... Coker might has well kiss his ass goodbye...
listen to Herbie saying that now Free Shoes is going to the National Championship Game since they beat his Canes... sometimes i think that in an effort to NOT be a Buckeye homer, he as adopted the Canes as his surrogate team, and has become a Canes homer... then again, maybe i think too much...
