Florida Gators (official thread)

Mock drafts have him going in round 1 (some even very high). Fucking mind boggling. Guy struggled to complete 50% of his passes at Florida and is visibly not a good passer at all. "HES SUPER ATHLETIC WITH A STRONG ARM THOUGH!!!"
Scouts love freak athletes, regardless if they're actually good football players. Hence why guys like Jamarcus Russell, Jordan Love, Vince Young, Tim Tebow and Josh Freeman get drafted so high

And Jeff George "still had the greatest arm I ever saw" for many NFL old-timers. The number of workout short warriors these supposed "experts" pick out is unconscionable.

Funny thing is, this guy could also do that(I saw him do it when he came back to HS while at UK). Those trick throws are fun to watch, but crazy how "professional analysts" tout these tricks like they matter in a game

Battleship Lorenzen. That dude had an absolutely amazing ability to keep both teams in the game right up until the end when he always figured out a way to snatch defeat from the Jaws of victory.

first time i saw him was when they came to Baton Rouge.
i seriously wondered why the hell they had an extra lineman lining up in the backfield on the first snap or two of the game

I followed him when he was at Northern KY HS powerhouse, Highlands. He wasn't so big, and he lit up the sky with passes. He got to UK and I guess had a liking to biscuits and gravy and things of the such and turned into the "Hefty Lefty" or the "Pillsbury Throwboy". He had a howitzer for an arm, and it got him to the league, but his eating habits took him out of the league.
He's bigger than his own OL when he was with the Rivercats

yeah, but most importantly, he's the one who dumped the Gatorade on Guy Morriss just before LSU scored the winning TD on the Bluegrass Miracle
