My only concern about this game is what is the SEC gonna do about this dirty play by Brandon Spikes trying to gouge out UGA RB, Washeun Ealey's eyes? Urban Meyer will probably give him a pat on the back for it and say "well done!"

If this were Kurt Coleman, the Big Ten probably would have banned him for the season.

More on that ridiculous eye-gouging incident. I am glad that it is coming up in the media otherwise I am sure some one like Urban Meyer would conveniently look the other way.

I have read a lot about Urban's moral character. Nothing about yours. But your ignorant opinion is duly noted

So you have "read" a lot about Urban's moral character huh? What do you think he is gonna do in this instance? The fact that he did not even know of the eye-gouging incident to me is more than a little disturbing.

About Midway through the third quarter - I was about ready to sign myself up for one of those eye gougings. Jesus tit-fucking christ was this a stomping.

Some thoughts from the underbelly -

1. CMR let's his seniors pick a game each year in which they'll do something fun and wear an alternate jersey/uni. Criticism for the gimmick should be directed at the seniors not Richt. And it probably isn't necessary given the ass kicking they took.

2. DC should be fired, Special teams coach should be fired. The team is woefully undercoached. A thousand golden crowns for the return of Brian Van Gorder.

3. Nick Saban sucks and Alabama fans can go fuck themselves

Oooohhhh...Urban is going to have a "very serious talk" with him. Well, thank God he just bypassed the strongly worded letter :roll2:
I don't condone it. But it was a dirty game on both sides. "chippy", as it were. You may not have heard, but the ref took both Tebow and a mutt aside at halftime and told them to tell both sides to knock it off. Tebow was eye gouged. They brought cheap late backside crap at Spikes all day. Spikes helmet was ripped off and he was head butted by another poodle. All day long it was an ugly dirty war against a team that hates us and we hate them.

[censored] happens. I do not approve of it. , When I played high school ball I was punched in the nuts so I'd let go of a fumble in the bottom of the pile. I was in so much pain I doubled over more and held on to the ball. If you asked Hawk and lil animal what [censored] went down in their chippiest game I bet you would find out that they gave as good as they got in some select games. This is football. There is no place for that type of [censored], but you will never NEVER remove it from football. Feel free to watch the first half of the 2006 BCS game. Your guys were committing personal fouls like mad. I don't recall Tress sitting them down as a punishment. Aggressive violent guys are the ones who start. But they have to be smart with that aggression. I do not know who started what first. Who spit on who the prior play. Who eye gouged the guy's roomate the previous quarter. So I am not going to judge, but Singletary and Butkis and Nitschke and Lewis type guys are prone to do that - and have admitted doing some of that. Butkis bit people in the pile and laughed about it. It is the fans in the stands who are appalled. The ones who play at that level in those games know it is sometimes a part of the deal. When it becomes a war, you do things that you would not normally do. I have no problem with Spikes being disciplinedl. I have a problem with the hypocritical condemnation of Urban Meyer through insinuation and statement that he is a less than ethical coach. But I'll let y'all worry about that while he worries about how to get our 3rd MNC in four years.

Again, I condem what it looks like Spikes was trying to to ( I thought the guy had a face shield on his mask - maybe not). But in that game, with that emotion, the Mutts trying to blow out his knees, etc, I can see how it happened. If you think that no Buckeyes would do that in a game with Penn State when the nits were all in on dirty play, then I think that you are dreaming. And if Lil animal were caught in the same deal, if you think Tress would bench him for it in that situation, I think that you would be dead wrong

Yeah. He should spend more time on Youtube instead of running the program and coaching the current BCS #1 team. :roll2:

He breaks down the offensive tape with Coach A. Urbs does the special teams. Strong breaks down the defense. It is just possible that he spent some time from late Saturday after the game and Sunday doing his show and having his Sunday press deal that he had no time to check in on the Dawgvent or BP to check out youtube clips. I mean, that is possible.:wink2:

I'm sorry if that disturbs you. Xanex. Just sayin'...

I'm well aware that ish happens down there, especially when it's getting ugly.

What's that saying about assumptions?

JT suspended Reynolds for a game for a cheapshot after the whistle.

I assumed it was a postgame comment. There's no chance they didn't know about the incident by Sunday, ubet.

Too many smartphone emails, cell texts & phone calls to believe that. Maybe Urban was busy when it first popped up, but controversy and potential trouble for your best player gets passed along to the HC.

C'mon, guys - Meyer is not stupid. If he looks too closely at the Spikes incident, he may get his eyes gouged out.

 :p
Personally, I think that Spikes was just trying to wipe away the guy's tears in that losing effort. Kudos for sportsmanship to him.

Tressel "isn't sure" about 95% of topics asked of him, so I'm not suggesting Meyer is doing something very unusual with his response, nor are cheapshots uncommon in those situations. I'm just commenting on the notion that he'd be too busy to hear about it.
