played 2 online games against Mac yesterday, finally got to see what its like to play with some good teams ..makes the game a bit different...

I feel better about my FIFA skills, beat him 4-2 first game, then lost 1-0 2nd game...

so I win 4-3 on aggregate

I bet if I played tootall i'd lose 7-0

To my defense, you did play as teams 1/2 star better than mine :) Don't worry I'll win the best of 10 series.

Ain't that the truth. I'm doing my first career mode with Spurs. With my style of play I can kick the shit out of Man City and Man U, but Stoke & Newcastle have given me fits because they stay compact, maintain their shape at all costs and are physical, aggressive tacklers.

For people in career mode... how many players are you keeping in reserve, and how are you able to get them enough playing time to remain content? I've sold twice as many players as I've bought, I've loaned out a bunch of young guys, I generally use all three subs and rest my star players in cup matches and against bottom-of-the-table opponents, but still can't seem to find enough playing time.

About the second part of your post, I sit players every once in a while, and start back ups. I try to mix in the players who I sub in that way it's not the same guys every game.

I too have sold way more players than I've bought. Actually I've bought 2 guys and sold about 7. I only have 5 Defensemen, and I didn't even realize I sold too many until the 1st game

Really depends on each player's stamina. It's probably best to have like 4 good CB's, and like 4 replacement LB/RB, a good supply of midfielders (depending on your formation) and a few strikers. If your team has good stamina overall, play your starting XI, the 7 subs and like 3 or 4 reserves and you should be straight. I scouted a bunch of young guys for my City club and am having trouble getting rid of them so my entire senior squad is full.

If the players bitch about playing I usually play them and if they ask to rest I sit their asses. That's pretty straight forward, but I like to keep a good cycle going. If I play two or three games a week, I won't have the same starting lineup for each game. Tends to keep dudes morale, form and energy up.

I wouldn't know too much about SP, but on Ultimate team, I always have just one backup CB, one backup CDM, one backup CAM, and a backup ST. Aside from that, my bench has Julius James (Cbus Crew CB), Frankie Hejduk (RB for LA Galaxy), a guy named Kunt, Fuchs, Butt, and a ST named Kike. If I'm up by a huge margain, I'll pull either Pato or Ibrahimovic for Kike.... To send a message.

Yeah, my broke ass doesn't have Live... so just local career modes. I have played a lot more Be A Pro, which is another great mode if you don't want the hassle of manager mode.

I've never had a player ask to sit... interesting.

If anything, I think I'm carrying fewer players than you just described, and I'm pretty liberal with substitutions and changing my starting XI. However, I just got to the January transfer window and ended up selling off a CAM because I wasn't able to get him any playing time. I also loaned out a 25 year old LB for the same reason.

Mostly stamina issues if they ask to sit. What I described seems to work for me in that with 7 subs and 4 reserves I have an entire "B" team to play at will. Anything more than that is almost overkill and you'll need to do what you did by selling and loaning.

The key this year is that the stamina is so much better. In other versions dudes would struggle to play 2 games a week and 3 was out of the question completely. It put you in a tough spot when you got into the career and played in multiple tournaments as well as league play.

Ugh... Head to Head Seasons is pissing me off... Just playing the douchiest of the douches on there now.

Ultimate Team hasn't worked for me in over two weeks, at first it would always pop up, "There was an error when trying to set up game".... Now I just can't shop the markets because the bids don't update unless you press B, and go back into Watch List or Auction Search.

Get it together, EA.
