Rember grad, we have Gator on this board. No ideas to the enemy, I don't like the sound of Tim Tebow, Supreme overlord of all that is college football.osugrad21;1354321; said:If Tim grows a beard, Florida will take over the universe.
It was indeed an ironic poke at the misspelling of Bueller, since Tlangs was making fun of Buckeye210 for not making sense in the first place.holybuckeye33;1354107; said:Kueller, I really hope that was a comment as to Tlangs spelling of Bueller and not that you didn't recognize the reference. If not, I'm getting a lot older than I thought.
bukIpower;1354774; said:Also get off Tebow. Jesus, how can you hate the guy? He's the exact type of person you would love if he was a buckeye.
bukIpower;1354774; said:As for Texas being ranked low in pass defense over the years... I'm not saying they're a good secondary but still the majority of the teams in the Big 12 have always been passing teams. So I think thats why their ranking on Pass defense reflects so poorly. Just imagine if we had to play like 4-5 teams that threw the ball 40 or 50 times per game?
jmorbitz;1354849; said:Here are the teams that tOSU has played this season that threw the ball 30-50 times or more. Other than the USC game, the results here seem to show that the Buckeyes wouldn't have too many problems. But take it for what it's worth.
USC 30 L 35-3
Troy 43 W 28-10
Minnesota 36 W 34-21
Purdue 51 W 16-3
MSU 39 W 45-7
Illinois 34 W 30-20
And IIRC the pass craze has only recently swept through the plains and changed the Big 12, as in the past it was a very run heavy conference. But I could be wrong.
Precisely. BukIpower has the right idea. UT's problem is NOT TALENT! It is youth. Physically they can stick with anyone. In a couple of years this secondary will be every bit as good as tosu's this year if they develop at the same rate. Ohio State's receivers are going to have to be really shifty and use their experience because they won't be getting the kind of separation they are used to seeing against our secondary.bukIpower;1354953; said:Well I think our passing defense IS better though I'm just saying there's a difference between Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Missouri, and even K-state. Then to NW, Purdue, Illinois, etc
I think our secondary is head/heals better than Texas' but I'm just saying don't sell Texas short because it's not like they're rolling out walk ons. I just think it's more to a credit to the teams they are playing. Also they do blitz more often so I think they leave themselves vulnerable a little in the back end with more man to man
