First deep ball of the game. And Brian still almost made the catch. Great game by him.

it was PI. and there was at least one more PI that wasn't called... it's cool though. i'm over it. i told a buddy of mine before the game that as long as it was close i wouldn't mind losing to the Horns because Texas fans are just Buckeye fans from another state. that's really how i feel. i've come to really like Texas football over the last few years and last night did nothing to change that. i'll root for the Horns in every game they play where the opponent isn't our Buckeyes...

I agree. To me last night wasn't about play calling, it was the execution. But that is what frightened me...how is it that our experienced OL can't execute and looks mediocre in pass pro (albeit very solid in run blocking)?

I don't get it...the groceries are there and we have expert chefs in the kitchen, but the food tastes like mule piss at times.

there comes a time that the lack of execution has to ultimately be the responsibility of the coaching staff. i know that the kids have to make the plays out on the field, but if they are consistently lacking in the execution department, then their preparation is insufficient to allow them to execute properly. and why we have 320 pound guys trying to finesse block simply boggles my mind. drive the mothereffer across from you off the line and go blast somebody. from my point of view all that beef is wasted by trying to be way to cute in the trenches... (i'll admit that the O-line performed rather admirably last night, bad false starts aside. i saw more holding from the Horns than i saw from the Buckeyes.)

i just dont understand y we brought a 7 man blitz with no safetys staying back on texass last drive. russel should have made that tackle tho.

They didn't bring 7...the LBs got caught stemming. It happened to Hines at a crucial point earlier in the game for a 1st down and then it happened to Freeman on the last play.

No, clearly we were bringing a blitz and we had no safteys back to help out. that is y we gave up that touchdown. but nevertheless, anderson russell should have made that tackle on cosby

No, clearly Freeman was dropping off from the line of scrimmage and didn't get enough depth in time to affect the pass.

Great game. This was the hardest loss I've ever had to take.

I really think we should have won, but our defense let him slip through. If that miss tackle was a tackle, we would have won.

However if we had to lose to a team and I could chose who, it'd be Texas. It was a great game, Tressel was a genius for putting pryor in for a catch.

whether they blitzed or not, someone should have stayed back 4 a qb spy. we got burned the whole night in double coverage on cosby and whoever jenkins wasnt on cuz he only got one ball thrown towards him

No, clearly it was Cover 0...JL was blitzing, CBs matched up on #1, Russell to #2 up top, Homan to #3 on bottom, Coleman to #2...Freeman was stemming and was supposed to drop to the hole. He was late, McCoy was perfect, and Russell took a bad angle.

Don't fans usually complan about sitting in a soft zone? I thought we wanted more man coverage with heat? Now you see what happens when the blitz doesnt get there in hard man. It was a 5man package...
