I hate how pussy everything in America has become. Why not dresses instead of uniforms? Maybe with rainbows and princess crowns. Fucking ruining a man's game.

This is, in my opinion, the exact reasoning why these rules should exist. Arguing that endangering a person's life and health for the sake of bravado in a game is idiotic. The rules still have room for improvement to preserve the sanctity of the sport itself, but using our understanding of health and safety to improve the longevity of players is in no way "pussification".
