haha, ya but could you imagine though? If we went scarlet field with grey lines we'd almost be pretty well camoflaged with the field. As if guys like Small already small won't be hard enough to catch next year... :p

yes and there will be a scarlet O on the middle of the field. that will be its actual color but when the lay down the rubber pellet/sand mix it will look more "real".

i went to field turfs site and they are sewing the seams. i don't know about the logos, hashes, letters, etc. yet though. i would think they would just make them that way because sewing over the other grass would make the field kinda uneven. hard saying....i'll try to find more info on it. i remember tiffin frost/kalnow stadium had some really funky turf when i played on it and the lines were about an inch higher than the field and you could trip over them but their turf was unique.

yea i know which is why we are kinda curious as to why they didn't just make the rolls with the colored grass already put in. it seems odd to me at least to paint field turf. sewing over already existing field turf seems odd as well. they would have to go in and rip out the sections of grass to fit the logo then sew in new colored pieces in its place. i dunno seems kinda difficult but i am sure creating the field wouldn't be no easy task either.

painting the turf could serve a couple reasons
highly doubt they'll rip up pieces and replace them with colored peices.. who knows why they want the option of painting.. but not a bad one to have

heres the orginal post:
would tOSU allow our million dollar field to have logos and hashes elevated above the rest of the field??
since we know the color isn't there for hashes and logos.. we can logically knock that one out and move to the next likely scenario.. paint. i don't know why you would think someone is going to go and cut out a strip every yard twice (once on the left, once on the right) and then sew hash marks into the turf..
sorry if im coming across as rude or whatever.. but c'mon.. if they aren't going to paint them on idk how they will do it but i can almost gaurentee you that they will not be ripping up chunks to sew in hash marks and lettering in the endzone.
i guess its a stupid possibility is what im getting at.. way to much pride and money in the field (one of the big reasons for the field is for states to come back) so i don't think it'll be a shoddy job matching tiffin frost/kalnow stadium
maybe i'll eat my words and they'll sew all this crap in, but like i said you didn't know what liquid nails or the depth of the enzone so im sitting here thinking your serious about them sewing logos in over top of the turf..

I personally dont like the scarlet endzones. Not only do our unis look like wisconsin, but now our field is exactly the same, except for the words in the endzone and the logo at center field. Why does everything have to change these days? What the hell was wrong with the old endzones?
