My understanding is the @ZBoren44 surgery was to remove a couple pieces of Devin Gardner still stuck in Boren's shoulder after that sack

Interesting tidbit from this week's episode of "The Journey" on the Big Ten Network: Ohio State linebacker Zach Boren wrote the word "Bo" on his wrist tape before every game he played for the Buckeyes, in honor of late Michigan coach Bo Schembechler.
U-M fans will recognize the last name, of course. Zach's father, Mike, was a standout linebacker under Schembechler in the 1980s, and Zach's older brother, Justin, started his career at Michigan before transferring to Ohio State when Rich Rodriguez took over. Justin Boren is now on the Detroit Lions' practice squad.
"The day Bo died (in 2006), I saw my dad cry for the first time," Zach Boren said on the show. "It just goes to show how much Bo meant to my family. Bo was such an inspiration to me. Everything that he stood for and everything he did really hit home for me. I really grew up idolizing him."
Ohio State football: Boren realizes grind fueled perfect season
If ever a book is written about fullback-turned-linebacker Zach Boren, as Ohio State coach Urban Meyer has urged, the coach probably could be counted on for the preface.
