FB/LB Zach Boren (Official Thread)

OMG welcome to the faily young Boren! This class is already looking to be legendary! Does anyone think that we might fill all of our schollie positions by the end of the summer? We are on a serious role, Tress should be easily mentioned with Pete Carrol and Les Miles as far as recruiting from Rivals and Scout.

Given who the remaining targets are and how many of them plan to decide before their senior season, I think it is safe to assume that all but a few spots could be filled up by the time the fall rolls around...

So another commitment-less signing day? Tressel can't close. :shake:

Welcome to the family, Zach!

Great kid. Great family. Congrats to the Boren family.
We can all be proud of the quality of kids coming in.

I'm with Mili in being shocked. I'm guessing he'll play fullback only. Hard nosed kid who fits the mold of a Buckeye fullback.

Maybe Tank Whaley's offer from the Bengals convinced him to commit. Or was it the lure of a Big Ten team with a future? In any case, welcome Zach.

KYLE ROBERTSON | DISPATCH
Zach Boren is rated third among high school linebackers in Ohio, according to one recruiting expert.

Zach Boren became the 14th commitment to the Ohio State football recruiting class of 2009 this morning.
Boren, a linebacker from Pickerington Central, follows in the footsteps of older brother Justin, who last week confirmed that he is transferring from Michigan to Ohio State. Justin Boren is an offensive lineman who started all 13 games at either center or guard for the Wolverines last season.
