For the longest time, I never watched that one. Finally watched it about a month ago. I thought it was pretty good. Certainly better than half the Roger Moore oeuvre or the invisible car entry from Brosnan.

Oh, its really good I think. I mean I realize the sequence isnt exactly right but it would have made a great first Moore film... But goddammit Lazenby is fucking terrible.
And its the bond film plot of pandemics too.

Lazenby probably would have made more, but from what I have read he got all fucking messed up in the head and screwed up his opportunity. Lived to regret it....

Yeah, they weren't displeased with his performance given that he'd never acted. It's just that he was a prick on set and then decided to just walk away from it. I can't help but think he might have been better than Roger Moore. Now, Moore is my coming of age Bond, but his era really did go way too far into the campy end of the spectrum to the point that, in hindsight, they are literally self-parodies.
