I wore the grooves off this record when in college.

I'd like to submit another 'Honorable Mention" album:

I'd thought of including that but felt it was more in the metal genre than classic rock.

Black Sabbath's Paranoid and Deep Purple's Machine Head could easily be classified more as early metal than classic rock. Not faulting your selection criteria, just saying that it's tough to have a list of 20 greatest classic rock albums without leaving out quite a few albums that are just as deserving. Hell, you could have a list of 50 albums and still leave out some viable mentions...

Fair enough. I like your list. Like everybody else just throwing out a few more for nostalgia. Anybody like Sticky Fingers, or another one I wore out: Harvest by Neil Young?
I love both of those albums. I didn't want to list more than one album by the same artist. The list could've been 500 strong. I put Harvast in my other poll. I had almost all of Neil Young's records. My favorite was Tonight's the Night.

What do you think of Harvest Moon? I have read a few "critics" say it was "overproduced" but wow have I gotten extreme enjoyment from that album. You can count on one hand the rock acts that never really peaked over their entire career. Neil makes that list in my opinion.

Harvest Moon is a great album part of my summer of '93 soundtrack. One of his more under rated albums is Ragged Glory, it's very grungy.

All great albums, and I see Zep IV mentioned alot, but how about some love for my personal favorite: Physical Graffiti? "In My Time Of Dying" is one of the best Hard Rock/Blue slide guitar pieces ever.IMHO of course!

Physical Graffiti might be my favorite Zeppelin album, but Zeppelin IV is right up there with it.

You and I are on the same page.
