Frampton Comes Alive. You couldn't go anywhere in the summer of '76 without a song from that album being played on the radio or from someone's car/house...

I wore that 8-track out back in my youth. Bob Seger and the Siver bullet band; Live Bullet, as well. Two live double albums that pretty well set each guys career in motion.

I remember when Frampton Comes Alive came out. It reminds me of Saturday nights when all the neighbors used to get together, have a bbq, drink beer and kids would play some kind of game whether it was hide and go seek or wiffle ball...something. Frampton Comes Alive was one of those albums that was always playing in the background. Do people still do that stuff?

Thanks, I didn't want to be the asshole

I usually let Muffler or the Bucky Katt be the asshole, it's much more natural for them, but, some things need to be nipped in the bud.

My first assignment in the USAF after basic training and tech school was Japan in June, 1976. We were in the process of returning Tachikawa AB back to the JASDF (Japanese Air Self Defense Force). The east side of the base, with the runway and most support facilities had already been returned...only the west side of the base, where all the housing and barracks were, were occupied by us. There were three 3-story barracks co-located together, two for males and one for females. In front of one of the barracks was a fairly large covered BBQ area, with either two or three large halved 55-gallon drum BBQs. Almost every evening someone would be there BBQing, and every weekend starting Friday evening and lasting all the way through to Sunday evening it was non-stop eating and drinking. FCA was by far the most played album. The Kansas "Leftoverture" was another. Hell, even my sponsor (the individual initially responsible for ferrying me around until I got "in-processed" and got settled in) had a cassette of FCA in his little car and that's almost all he played, along with Heart's Dreamboat Annie.
