Maybe I take Columbus for granted but I'm shocked by how many people on this thread rate it so highly. I've never thought CBus was anything to write home about.
I've never thought it was.

One thing that always stuck with me when I traveled was talking with other business travelers who'd complain about driving in C-Bus. Most people complain about driving in big cities like NYC, LA, and Boston, but C-Bus can really be a nightmare if you didn't grow up there and learn the layout like the back of your hand. You won't find many other major cities that permit a five-lane change over 1/4 of a mile to get from an on ramp to an off ramp. The 70/71/315 split is a disaster if you've never driven it before.

Downtown driving is much worse.

Too many one way streets that don't seem to lead anywhere.

I lived on Long Island for a year and a half and I don't get why people are rating NYC that highly either

But then again, I haven't been back there since Giuliani cleaned it up.

Picture an Amsterdam street, with narrow buildings along a canal... Now redecorate in rainbow colors, and you have an idea of what Curacao's like.

Willemstad, capital of Curacao, is a fascinating town with centuries of history, first class photo ops, and a charmingly odd floating footbridge that hinges open to let boats through.

Vegas has definitely gotten better with time!
There are things for the whole family, now!

New York, just sucks. It takes a true New Yorker to appreciate it.

Boston is a great town with a unique character(like Sushi)!

San Francisco is great and unique, also! Just be careful about who (fits) you at the Dockers store!

L.A. just totally sucks! How can people actually live in all that pollution? :dead:

It isn't, but it's considerably better than every other medium to large city in Ohio. If you're going to get stuck living in Ohio, Columbus is the best of the choices. Plus, it has Tee Jays...
