The only other name I'd list is Ozzy- I've liked his stuff all along. Almost every other band that I've considered a strong favorite is no longer a favorite.
Metallica - pussed out
Queensryche - pussed out
Van Halen - no good since becoming Van Hagar
Black Sabbath - downhill after Dio left
etc.....
And a lot of newer bands I like are too new to be favorites of all time.

1) Nirvana - My favourite by far 2) Pearl Jam - The only bad thing about Pearl Jam is they led to terrible bands like Creed, etc... who copied Eddie Vedder's singing style. 3) Nine Inch Nails - Just love Trent Reznor's music 4) The Tragically Hip - The best Canadian band. Maybe not the worldwide success of others like the Guess Who and Rush, but the most beloved by myself and my fellow Canadians 5) Rage Against the Machine - Here's hoping they get back together soon, the world needs a good Rage album, especially with the crap that is out right now. 6) System of a Down 7)Red Hot Chili Peppers - They put on a great concert 8) Sublime - Great chill music 9) Tool 10) Alice in Chains
Muse. I also really like Silversun Pickups, Smashing Pumpkins, 30 Seconds To Mars(catchy melodies, IMO), Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Eminem. I don't listen to a ton of music so my knowledge of good bands is limited.
