I hear you about the list...I grew up listening to Magic 105.7 in Cleveland. I started getting into Metallica in junior high and then when Korn came out, I loved them immediately. I appreciate Pink Floyd, sets me in a mood. The last on my list, both of those bands are instrumental. They are quite good. Honestly, if I ever want to break anybody's face, I listen to Six Parts Seven to calm myself down. As far as ELO...my dad ruined them for me, even though I respect what they're all about. My dad used to just piss my mom off blasting it, and she would turn down the volume, and he'd turn it back up, then he'd turn it down again, and ask her to pull his finger...she'd leave in disgust, then he'd crank the volume and laugh his ass off...Bucky Katt;767658; said:That is one strange list. I can see 2-4 and 7-9 all being on the same list. But if you showed me those 7, I would never guess Metallica, Korn, and Pink Floyd would make up the rest of it.
Something about the overlap of rock music and classical orchestration really does it for me. "Hold on Tight" wouldn't get me dancing around the house, but I've been known to get liquored up and serenade people with "Mr. Blue Sky". Not pretty.
