I fixed the bugs in FKA's quiz, and deleted all previous results. If you took the quiz previously, you may want to take it again.

Grad,

I did okay...but I wanted to make some comments to possibly assist you in the accuracy of your study. First of all, I'm one of the rare people that has studied the Old Testament more than the New and is more knowledgable in it, in part, due to a 400 level course I took on Old Testament Prophets. Overall, it was a pretty fun test, although the questions varied GREATLY in difficulty. Some of them I REALLY struggled on, and several my 11 year old sister would know. Hope this helps.

Question 1: Upon what mountain did Abraham purpose to sacrifice Isaac?

I got this one right, but wasn't completely sure. I was maybe 50% on it. If it had been fill-in instead of multiple choice, I would've got it wrong.

Question 2: How many Israelites died as a result of the worshiping the Golden Calf?

I got this one right but it was a COMPLETE guess.

Question 3: Melchizedek was all of the following except:

I read the question wrong and picked king because it was the only one I knew he was for SURE. I would've got it wrong anyway.

Question 11: From where did David rule as king over Judah for the first seven years?

Had to think about that one for awhile...but got it.

Question 17: Who wrote the book of Hebrews?

For accuracy, I chose Paul because it's what I would have said had you not given me the Unknown option. After I saw the option, I was going to pick it...but thought it would be more accurate this way. I woldn't have known.

Question 20: Who was the first Gentile baptized into the faith of Jesus' followers?

As you could see by my answer, I knew the story...couldn't remember the name. I felt like an idiot when I got the PM with the answer...haha.

Just took this quiz and scored 80%. Should have scored 90% but I was to quick on the trigger on the Saul/Paul question.

What is the purpose of this quiz? To me, the quiz was aimed specifically at knowledge of biblical history, as opposed to knowledge of the bible itself. I'd do better if it was strictly biblical knowledge as opposed to specific historical and geographical questions. Although I must admit, I F'd up the "youngest son of Jacob" question, I knew that, but my mind processed the "coat of many colors" and I clicked Joseph...

What we were trying to assess with the quiz was whether we could go straight into "what the Bible teaches" or if we needed to start with more basic information in the Bible study. The church I attend places a heavy emphasis on knowing the historical, cultural, and geographic context of what the Bible teaches; so we need to get these nailed down before we go to the meat of the teachings.

The church also emphasizes the harmony between the Old and New Testaments, which is why these facts become important. For example, when my brother-in-law came up with the question of how many people died as a result of worshiping the Golden Calf (an answer I didn't know) I told him that the question was too obscure and not that important. He countered that the number is significant in that it is the exact same number that were saved on the day of Pentacost in Acts 2. He then referenced a teaching my father-in-law did about a year ago on the significance of that number being reflected at the two events.

Personally, if I had not helped create the quiz, I would guess that I would have scored about an 80-85%.

Ok, I just took the 20-question quiz (I'm assuming that's yours buckeyegrad). Same result as the last one.

"Your overall score was: 100%"

I had to think for a minute on #16. Then it occurred to me that Paul addressed prophecy in the spiritual gifts section in chapters 12-14. That was a tricky one. Good quiz.
