Fantasy Football Advice

ROFL.... yahoo gave me a C+ on my draft... projected me to finish 10th in my league...
:slappy:
Highlight Reel
Damn Dirty Ohioans is stacked at TE, but RB isn't too shabby, either

No Back-Up No Cry
Ignoring roster depth, Damn Dirty Ohioans chose only one player at three different positions (TE, DEF, and K)

Yahoo slays me... again not sure how I feel but I know i'll better than 10th

I'm having a moment of weakness here.

Lacy vs Seattle @ Seattle
-or-
Ingram vs Atlanta @ Atlanta

So tempting... but Ingram isn't a sure thing either, isn't he? So go with Lacy... hard to go with a matchup over your 1st rounder in Week 1 when you have no clue about how the teams are going to come out.

I have my money league draft tomorrow. The setup is QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, Flex...and it's 1/2 PPR. With the 3 starting WRs, and me picking 10th out of 10....I'm almost wondering if it makes more sense for me to go WR/WR with the first two picks unless something idiotic like Jamal Charles or Adrian Peterson falls into my lap. Good idea...or am I then screwed because by the time it comes back around to me in the 3rd every worthy RB will be gone?

WR/WR isn't a horrible idea... but there are TONS of WRs out there. So I would concentrate on a pass catching RB for my 2nd rounder.

So remember I asked about 2 QB PPR leagues... well, here is my team. REMINDER it is a 8 team league so every team looks stacked. Start QB QB RB RB WR WR Flex Flex K Def (TE's are considered WRs). I ended up picking 7th out of 8, and almost got my dream scenario as I almost was able to pick Brees AND Rodgers (guy at #10 hemmed and hawed on his 2nd pick for a while before deciding on Rodgers)

QB - Drew Brees
QB - Matt Stafford (2nd round)
RB - Monte Ball
RB - Chris Johnson (yeah, I ignored RB for a bit)
WR - Julio Jones
WR - Antonio Brown
Flex - Randall Cobb
Flex - Victor Cruz
K - Gould
Def - KC

Bench:
Jeremy Maclin
Marques Colston
Joique Bell
Ben Tate
Ray Rice
Carlos Hyde
Jordan Reed
Matt Prater (my last pick)

Only downside going 2 QBs with first 2 picks was RBs were picked over. Also I didn't pick up a 3rd QB, there was a run on QBs and I didn't want to grab Alex Smith or Carson Palmer as my 3rd guy, I'll just go waiver wire hunting as I have til 6 weeks for a bye with my QB.

So, flex spot. The possible week 1 dominance of Travis Kelce, or Bernard Pierce behind what has been a shitty Ravens Oline this pre-season?

The former is enticing because Tennesse sucks covering TE's and he'll be the 2nd best weapon on the field for the Chiefs.
However, Pierce is the man for the Birds the next couple weeks and its always hard to argue against a starting RB.

I'd go Pierce .... not sure about KC and how good they will be this year....

If Cecil was healthy I'd replace DeSean with him. Jackson's matchup this week just isn't a good one.
DeAndre Hopkins would have been an option but you already have Johnson. Hell, you could probably start both - the Skins defense is that bad.

If Cecil is good to go, then I say him over DeSean. If not, leave it as is. Mark Ingram is getting 1st team carries over Pierre. Greg Jennings is intriguing, but the combination of AP, Patterson and Rudolph
make him the 4th option on that team.

Go WR/WR or even WR/QB...you can likely get one of the Big 4 there too. With so many split back systems, once the top 5-7 are gone, it is better to go elite at another position(s) IMO. You will likely have to play RB by committee, but with 3 WRs starting, you can make inroads there first.

WOW...a dinged up Pierce vs. a Kansas City TE  I'd go Pierce by default...I don't know that Smith will be throwing much.

QB - Matt Ryan
RB - Demarco Murray
RB - Andre Ellington
WR - Demaryius Thomas
WR - Andre Johnson
WR - Victor Cruz
TE - Kyle Rudolph
Flex - Cordarrelle Patterson
K - Phil Dawson
D - Steelers

BN - Chris Johnson
BN - Bishop Sankey
BN - Carlos Hyde
BN - Tony Romo
BN - Brandin Cooks
BN - Dwayne Bowe
BN - Travis Kelce

Somebody took Calvin Johnson right in front of me for the first round (I picked 10th out of 10). If I had gotten Calvin, I absolutely would have gone Calvin/Demaryius 1/2. Then somebody picked Roddy White right before I panicked and got Victor Cruz in the 5th. I reached for Carlos but I don't care.
