I agree with the new policy. I have seen a lot of opposing fans make reasonable first posts here, only to be greeted by ban requests and insults. A few of these fans have rubbed the lotion on their skin and stayed on, but not many.

BuckeyePlanet was not built upon a foundation of smack talk and insult.

BP was built as a forum of open opinion and open discussion for all fans. That premise includes visiting fans who will likely be wearing (insert school colors) blinders. We've had excellent posters from all over the country who have become regulars because of this approach.

Until an opposing fan breaks the set rules of BP, their opinion is as valid as any tOSU fan's opinion. Debate, discuss, and present your present your fact-based argument.

However, the name-calling, trolling, and instigating will not be tolerated. If you choose to go to another board and act like an idiot that is on you...if that mess comes back to BP, it is on you and will be handled here also.

From the capo himself. Yet the "community" of people who have been disagreeing with my viewpoint I have shared on Thad Matta have pretty much been in direct violation of this the entire time... lol. I will say the mods deleted all that [Mark May] but the likely reason for that is bc of thread cluttering.

Funny, I re-read about 8 of your posts and found a call for the basketball coach to get fired, and words like "naive", "blind", "ignorant", "blinders", and "internet tough guys" to describe people who disagree with you, along with walking a dental floss-sized line of bashing players ("Aaron Craft's inability to shoot past a layup"), all while managing to repeatedly whine that you are being treated badly and going all Alec Baldwin and threatening to leave (for the Canadian boards or whatever) while repeatedly coming back and claiming you are still being treated badly, while still claiming we should hire a serial rule-raper like Bruce Pearl to replace a guy who made 5 16s, which includes 3 8s, 2 Final 4s and a title game, in the span of 7 years.

When we all followed @Clarity over here and made this place the way a great Buckeye site should be made it was because too many people were tired of that trolling crap at other sites. We'll get @osugrad21 or @MD Buckeye on it and I'm sure it will sort out.

I remember the Ohio State forums on Scout. That place had twice as much activity when things were going poorly.

Supposedly grown men trashing a bunch of 20 year olds for not giving them their self-esteem boost that weekend.
