I'm assuming the "Ohio State" rule is what applies. We don't bad mouth Buckeyes and we don't allow others to do so either. We also try to keep it civil with other folks until they overstay their welcome.

I like the way you summed this up. I don't post much, and am not likely to start soon, but the reason I migrated to this board was in hopes of that attitude.

I know some players on the team, and it kills me to see them attacked on other boards. So -- quite smartly -- I quit going to those places.

Criticism, discussion, room for improvement - that's all good. Just saying someone is stupid or has no talent? I can't stomach it.

Right, and hopefully a lack of criticism of other fan bases who are willing to show up here. A welcoming attitude towards opposing fans would be a plus. If the fan ultimately chooses to flame out, then they can be rewarded with a ban at that time.
