Having owned a 5-series, I can tell you they are exceptionally comfortable as well as terrific handling cars. Expect the same kind of performance that you'd get from the Maser.
I have owned both cars, and the Maserati clearly outperforms the 5 series. And it's also bigger and more comfortable. But the Maserati is twice the price.... If you want a performance BMW, then you really have to go into the M class.

You could go for a Gwagon. Totally badass. Not great gas milage but certainly very capable of getting you out of town and to Pa in comfort.
Agree on "totally badass", disagree on "comfort". I loved the car, but it's not really the best choice for a long commute.

EDIT: Another aspect of the G-wagon makes it not suitable for city dwellers - parking garages can present a real problem, as the car is 6' 4" or 6' 5" and has clearance issues.

I should have been clearer - talking 0-60 times only. I've long thought the Q-porte is one of the prettiest cars in the world, dating back to the mid-80s when they were rarer than dinosaur eggs.

When I was in Da' 'Bu, we used to see Maybachs and Lamborghinis and Ferraris on a regular occasion...

But this is my dream car:

Sorry for the self-quote, but today's news makes me nostalgic:

Carroll Hall Shelby, the Texan who created the famous Shelby Cobra and uncounted other high-performance machines that turned the auto world on its ear, and made it a whole lot more fun for 50 years, died in Dallas Thursday night at age 89. He had been hospitalized for pneumonia.

Giving the Porsche in the cement a strong run for his money.

Wow. Any idea where that is located?

I heard Wheeling.

There's no excuse for stupid but if I had to try to make one up in this case I'd guess that he thought he had the RWD and didn't realize that he had the AWD. He got on it expecting the ass end to slide so he could drift through the intersection and we all know what it's like to try to drift with AWD.

Either way, I'm sure that he had some serious explaining to do. I wonder if the first story he told matched up with the video.

Some soulless bastard broke into my car last night. I have a parking spot in the alley behind our condo building. I was walking down the alley to my car and as soon as I could see my car, I saw the shattered glass. My heart just sank, I am so pissed off. They stole my Tumi duffle bag, Beats headphones, various workout clothes, Shell credit card and some chase gift cards. I think that is all--shit I hope that is all.

Filed a police report, which obviously will do no good. Now I have to wait a couple hours until a glass repair shop opens up. Not a good way to start my Friday.

Happened to my son's car too at OSU. The quote "souless bas&@*#s," sums up thieves of all sorts. Totally lacking in character, and regardless of the false bravado involved, they are cowards.
