I have a driving record with more pages than the bible. At one time I had ten points on my liscense and as soon as on of the tickets fell off I got another. But on the other hand I haven't had a ticket in almost 5 years now. The last one was pretty serious plus I grew up a little bit....ok not really. But I still haven't had one in five years tho I have been pulled over twice and got away.

Age 16 - pulled over for speeding; got warning
Age 21 - got first speeding ticket
Age 26 - got three speeding tickets within a year
Last week - pulled over for speeding; got warning

I've never tried to talk my way out of a ticket.

Age 17 - Running a red light (shoulda been a DUI) on U of Maryland Campus
Age 20 - Reckless driving (Locked up the brakes to stop for a light triggered by a cop at 3am in Daytona. Bastard)
Age 33- First Speeding ticket. 75 in a 55 on Rt62 going to Mt Vernon.

I still have an outstanding parking ticket at NC State from my campus visit back in 1998.

Other than that...

Age 17... Speeding. I won a significant amount of money gambling on the NCAA tournament. I was about to head out on a marching band trip, and I wanted to use my winnings to buy a new Discman for the bus ride, so I wouldn't have to listen to those stupid fucking band people the whole way to Florida. I was grounded at the time though, and not allowed to leave the house. I thought I was being slick by rushing to Best Buy and back. I got busted on the way back. I ended up having to confess to the ticket because I had to go to court with my mom because I was still a juvenilie. I also had to confess to the gambling, and ended up returning the Discman to pay my fine.

Age 18... Speeding.

Age 21... Speeding.

Age 21... Speeding. Because this one was within 3 months of the previous one, I had to attend traffic school. I ended up being traffic school valedictorian :banger: and got a suspended sentence. I am now 25, and in March it will be four years since my last ticket.

Pulled over in Heath, OH for going 37 in a 35 on RT. 79, yes, 2 miles/hr over the speed limit. No ticket.

Pulled over after leaving a bar in downtown Newark, OH, without my headlights on. I got about a half mile away when I realized a cop was behind me and I didn't have my headlights on, or a seatbelt. Luckily, I was DD and he let me go with a warning.

Got a 180$ ticket for going 81 in a 55 in Coshocton Co.

Only one ticket in my life, and I am 26, soon to be 27, not bad.

Leaving headlights off... I have a little problem with that one if I'm not driving my own car, where I've become accustomed to the automatic headlights. After growing up around wooded, unlit back roads, the city light seems more than enough, and I don't have the visual cues to remind me that I have to turn them on. So far, I've always realize my mistake within a block or two, but it's unsettling nonetheless.

My boss at GEICO was monitoring calls when I was quoting someone car insurance rates, so I had to stick to the script and say, "Sir! Thank you for waiting. I am very happy to tell you that GEICO would like to insure your automobile for the low, low rate of only six thousand dollars per month!" (Saying "low" twice was required.)

Interesting reaction...

Between the ages of 17-24? Probably a dozen or so (none since 95), but my favorite by far was...

85 in a 35 in Mt. Orab when I was home on leave back in '92.

Thought the Sheriff was gonna have a heart attack.
