Age 16: Left of center (he thought I was drunk and used that as the reason I was pulled over... only problem was there wasn't a marked center line, and there were parked cars on the side of the road... it was a small road that could fit three cars across... unless you ran into a parked car you had to go "left of center").

Age 19: speeding (70 in a 55... it had just changed from 65.... bs ticket)

Age 20: reckless op ("slowed" down to 86 when I noticed the cop, the speed limit was 55. I did manage to keep myself out of jail that night. The guy was pissed that a mustang had outrun him and took it out on me. He had called a wrecker to tow my car to the impound lot as well). He also issued me a speeding ticket, however the judge agreed with me that the reckless op and speeding ticket were for the same infraction so he threw out the speeding ticket (I wish he would have thrown out the reckless op:( ).

No tickets since age 20... I'm due for one, I don't exactly follow the speed limit.

Age 27: warning for speeding (it was a speed trap on 315, we were late for a wedding... he asked where we were going and I told him, he felt bad for us and told us to slow down and go along our merry way:) )

Age 28: warning for speeding (occured in Florida while on vacation. I played the part of a confused, stupid tourist... the cop bought it, told us to slow down, and to enjoy our trip in Florida:biggrin: )... little did he know I have several family members who own property in the area (ie, my grandparents, parents, several sets of aunts and uncles, a couple of cousins, as well as second cousins, etc.), and I've gone there two to four weeks every year since I was born       (they're on a barrier island that isn't too big... one would think he would recognize the last name).

Speeding ticket at age 16, 40 in a 25.

Speeding ticket somewhere in GA while I was on a job. I think it was 50 in a 40.

Speeding ticket in Mississippi while I was moving to Louisiana. In the south they have this quaint little custom of having tickets fixed. You basically pay a lawyer to buy off the cop. In my case we were supposed to furnish the cop with a case of beer. He wrote on my ticket I had a radar detector and would not fix my ticket. Nice that he had some form of principles.:)

I am not female and quite big and ugly. When in college I was pulled over late one night for a DUI check. I talked my way out of that one. The cop followed me home. I wrecked a rental car once as a woman sideswiped me. I was at fault but she was speeding and I conviced the cop not to site me. I also talked my way out of a speeding ticket a few years ago. I have not gotten a ticket in over in over 12 years and hope that I keep that record.

Ok, I went back and looked them up. I am not sure how in the hell I have a license. I am streaky. When I get 1, a few more seem to follow.

6/93--My 1st. seat belt and speeding. It was right after my pic was in the paper for getting Athlete of the Year and the bitch had the nerve to ask me to teach her kids how to throw a curve ball. I said yes, until she still handed me the ticket.

02/97--speed

6/6/00--speed
6/12/00--speed and seat belt
7/6/00--speed
9/5/00--speed

I am not sure how I didnt lose my license after that streak

12/11/01--speed
2/1/02--speed
6/26/02--speed
12/2/02--speed.

So, by my calculations, I am due. I am dropping Bucknut319's name if I do.

Funny story. I dropped a couple names on a cop and he simply said "well, then you should know better"

My buddy tried this once in Florida (panhandle). There was a traffic light where you have to concentrate on the light and the sign that says 35 mph (was 55 right before the light). Went through the light not realizing that the speed limit had changed. Cop was a real jerk about it to. I think he must have been trying to make a quota or something. :ohwell:

My tickets were:

Age 16: Speeding-69 in a 55.
Age 16: Warning for not making a complete stop at a stop sign.
Age 16: Drove through a redlight.
Age 16: U-turn

Nothing since then (over 10 years).

The Columbus Dispatch : Traffic tickets sped up
When the police pull you over, it can mean up to 15 minutes of waiting, fidgeting and fuming as lights flash behind you and passing motorists gawk. But technology promises to speed that up.

A pilot project announced yesterday allows Columbus to outfit five police cruisers with equipment that issues and prints out traffic citations as quickly as swiping a credit card.

Saw a recent news article: http://www.daytondailynews.com/news...s-pocketed-nearly-50000-on-new-speed-c/nrPHD/

So as a public service.....

If case you are traveling along US 127 through New Miami, Ohio (and unfamiliar with the area)....Beware of a SPEED TRAP. Apparently at any given time a patrol vehicle, with an officer aiming the camera, can be seen tucked in between buildings on the main drag just at the point where the speed limit drops coming out of Hamilton to 35 m.p.h., past the bridge on U.S. 127

Lithopolis used to have a spot like this, where the limit dropped abruptly right outside of town. Snagged my daughter and a couple of her friends a few years ago when they were working at the Wagnalls there. I thought there had been a law passed against set-ups like that, though. I remember seeing a news story about it and thinking the little burg would have to find a new source of income.
