Once upon a time during a fun filled summer vacation on Parris Island SC....

Before swim quals one of the water survival instructors asked everyone who could swim to step to one side and those who couldn't to step to the other. After the recruits shuffled to the respective sides the guy next to me whispered "and they say the 'Corps isn't segregated". That day was the first time in my life that I saw someone standing on the bottom of a 12' deep pool & looking up after literally sinking like a rock.

Yeah, it's one of them. I love spicy food, just not hot sauce. When people put it on eggs I want to gag.-_-

Another one I hate is everyone thinking we all love Tyler Perry. His movies suck. Ok, i'm done.

One of ESPN's few non-idiots managed to do something silly a couple of days ago.

Trevor Matich, who usually does a fairly decent job of showing some film clips and making observations, did a little segment about Manziel against the Bama defense. He showed a clip where Manziel appeared to have trouble reading the defense and was caught in the pocket. After that, he showed another clip, talked about how "later in the game" Manziel was picking up on what the Bama defense was doing, and made the proper read.

There were two basic problems with the point he was making. First of all, the score was 20-0 aTm early in the game, and Manziel had trouble leading the team to any scores after the first quarter.

But the truly 'stupid' part was that the first clip was a play where Manziel had trouble with about 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter, and the second clip he showed actually occurred with about 8:40 left in the game. But somehow Manziel had learned to avoid the problem situation because of an example of a play that hadn't occurred yet.

Matich is usually good in those segments, but this one looked like somebody trying to twist the facts to fit the desired talking point.

Greenie = Douchie

Listening to Mike & Mike a few weeks ago (I know :shake:...nothing else sports related to listen to in Dayton on the way to work) during the weekly Cris Carter in-studio segment. Doucheberg was hyperventilating over Andrew Luck, "Is this the greatest rookie ever??!#!!@!!#??!!?? It was his twitter question of the day, their leave a phone message topic, and he spent way too much time blabbering to himself.

He then turns to Cris and asks him, is Andrew Luck the greatest rookie ever? Cris takes a moment to compose himself, and then replies, "Well, two things Greenie." First is that I don't get into the ESPN over-hype thing. :banger: He made his second point, which was along the line that Luck at the time was second or third statistically among rookie QBs and it was way too early to put a bow on the GOAT rookie season/player.

After the awkward moment of silence, Doucheberg reiterated his agenda and segwayed into the next topic. :shake:

I don't know, from what i've watched Matich is just as capable of making himself look stupid as most of the people on there. I like Belotti and i think schlabach makes good points from time to time

Stephen A use to be my favorite person on ESPiN. That was before he bashed the crap out of Tressel(first time I ever heard him even mention anything about Ohio State), kissed Wade's butt daily, and got extremely butthurt over what Ryan Clark said about him.

At least there's still Bomani Jones. :/
