ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

People are actually offended by this and mad about it? Seriously? Why are so there so many freaking hall monitors now, especially on the internet.

Only because there is a double-standard. Folks here are saying that there's no biggie with calling Gronkowski "white boy wasted", but had no problem trashing Bob Greise when he said on a football broadcast that a race driver of Hispanic herotage was "probably out getting a taco". Greise in fact got suspended for a week or so because of it, and yet Rose won't have a fucking thing happen to him. Make a stereo-typical remark towards whites and it's OK...make one against a black, Hispanic, Asian, or any other non-White and you're ass is in trouble (provided the one making the remark is white).

When was the last time you heard the terms "Chinese firedrill" or "Mexican standoff" on a broadcast?

This is in a thread called "ESPN looking stupid", not the poli-forum. Jalen Rose is an idiot, and he comes off as completely unprofessional and ridiculous by casually tossing out a racial term in such a race-sensitive culture. ESPN looks stupid again every time they bring a clown like him on one of their flagship programs.

Looks like you and Tanner are at a Mexican standoff.

Employing Skip Bayless redeems them quite a bit.

I miss "Polish parliament", always a useful term when things start breaking down on the field of play.

I get that there is a double-standard - don't disagree. But I still wish it weren't a big deal....again, just my IMO.

Whiteboy wasted is actually a line from a hip-hop song .
Great news! A wide array of lyrics are now fair game for me to use

I was not offended at all, but is that a prerequisite to mocking rivals renewing their vow to stupidity?

Have you read anything about Mexico recently? I don't think they do so much of the 'standoff' thing anymore. Maybe that's why it's gone out of fashion.

I kinda wish the double-standard stuff would cool a bit.
So long as one of the two races spent the greater part of our nation's history enslaved to the other, this is a pretty faint hope.

IMO white folks need to quit whining about the "double standard." There's always been a double standard at play in the USA, and usually black folks haven't been advantaged by it. Toughen up, fellow crackers.

IMO, white folks need to get over the "White Guilt" complex. I owe jack shit to any ethnicity, because I've never discrimated against any. If I can't call a black person a ******, a Hispanic a spic, a Japanese a jap, or a Chinese a chink, then they sure as fuck can't use an anti-white slur at me. Same with any racial term or saying.
