ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

If a conference cuts all ties with ESPN and CBS and signed with FOX, technically, couldn't FOX put on night games (both football and men's basketball) directly opposite ESPN and CBS featuring that conference?

I know the Pac-12 and Big 12 have contracts with FOX, but also have contracts with ESPN and CBS (so there's the conflict).

I was wondering if the Big Ten went solely FOX and BTN for CFB, MBB and Olympics, then FOX could put on night games? Right now FOX only has NFL and MLB on the national channel (not FSN or FX).

Phil told ESPN to tell him to say both of those things...

While also saying he doesn't have a problem with Arkansas being #3. Really? Arkansas got beat bad by Alabama. So just because Alabama is number 2, Arkansas is 3 based on losing to Bama and being in the SEC. Let's be real, if Arkansas was in the big ten, they'd barely be in the top 10.

I couldn't disagree more. If Arkansas were in the Big 10, they'd be undefeated.

He also said that a lot of Pollsters don't watch the games so they don't know how to vote....Of course he doesn't care that he dropped us in last years poll after beating Arkansas in the Sugar....Are we really sure he is watching the games...

FYI, the only time Arkansas ever beat a team in the Big Ten at the time was Northwestern in 1981.

We'll see what this team can do at LSU, but Arkansas only has one notable win so far this year (S.Carolina), so it seems like they are #3 by default right now.

I'm really tired of the double standard the Kirk espouses. So, what he is saying is that Oregon has quality losses that are coupled with one quality win against Stanford.

When OSU was in the throws of multiple national title runs, it was always "OSU can't beat the best teams" after losses to USC, Florida, LSU and Texas (on a last second pass). I'm not arguing that.

What I want to know is why are the same things not being said about Oregon after multiple losses in big games, including to OSU who plays in a weak conference?

And Nebraska was going to walk (pre-season) into the BTCG before they lost to Northwestern.

In a thread about how stupid ESPN constantly looks, maybe we can try not to parrot ESPN talking points so much in the future?

IIRC the same was said about what PSU was going to do to the B10 on a consistent basis....Year one was good to them for sure....but since...meh

I think you mean year two. Their first year in the Big Ten, they lost to both tOSU and scUM, and played in the Citrus Bowl.

I'm not parroting anything...you are parroting BP looking stupid. Arkansas is a good team. I don't think they'll beat LSU, but I'd put my money them beating the mediocre B1G this year.

Agreed. As I've said before, the next time Oregon beats a high-quality OOC opponent on a neutral field will be the first.

putting money and speculating on hypothetical situations with absolutely no chance of being proven one way or the other, and yet taking the opportunity to use said completely fictitious hypothetical situation to denigrate one conference while fluffing another... how exactly is that not parroting ESPN talking points again?
