So who is the target customer group based on this choice of entertainment? Presumably a group for which the game itself is not necessarily a sufficient draw. Whatever. It's been a long time since I watched a halftime show on TV unless it's the TBDBITL or I'm at a social event where I can't go do something else 'til the game (Super Bowl, etc.) resumes.

My view is that they brought in Kendrick to try to appease cord-cutting millennials, and the fact that they think millennials are going to give a shit about a halftime concert is another example of how out of touch they are.

The B1G is wildly unpredictable this year, it might be a down year for the conference as a whole, but it's hardly anything i'd call "boring"

Exactly. Look at the Super Bowl halftime show. It won’t matter who they put in that performance, they aren’t going to give a shit. I like the fact that they put someone in there that’s current, rather than some washed up rockers 30 years past their prime, but I’m still not watching it.

Yes. Kendrick was the perfect choice for what they're trying to do, it's just that what they're trying to do isn't worth doing. Which I guess is a changeup from every other time they've tried to be "hip" where it's just a shitshow.

Speaking of which, Reece Davis said "slide into her DMs" the other day. On camera. Unironically.

"Sliding into the DMs", or "direct messages", is when an individual privately contacts another individual through Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with the intention of getting into that pussy, ideally with smooth, flawless execution.

So yes.
