ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

My team isn't in the NFL playoffs, but I'm watching anyway because it's football and it's zero degrees outside.

Is it too much to ask to watch a game without 412 ads for Monday night's SECFP title game? Evidently, the answer is yes. :roll1:

They’re going all out to try and prevent the inevitable poor ratings they will get. They’ve placed ads on Spotify and Pandora on top of the ads every commercial break in the NFL Playoff game. They even have a halftime show featuring Kendrick Lamar for the first time ever in a NCAA National Championship Game.

I’m still not watching that game. Want me to watch an Alabama-Georgia game? Play each other in the SEC Championship Game.

Seems like a safe bet that, excluding people in comas, solitary confinement, or trapped in a mine cave-in, everyone who gives a crap already knows what and when that game is. I'm not going to tune in because they shove it in my face a thousand times. What I'm going to do is change the channel when the ad comes on.

Personally, I'd love it if there were an ice storm in the south and everybody's power went off until Tuesday morning.

B1G basketball is "boring" because Ohio State upset the #1 team

:ohbrother:

http://www.espn.com/blog/collegebas...s-highlights-the-big-ten-is-a-mess-and-boring

Before Michigan State suffered an 80-64 loss at Ohio State on Sunday -- a loss against a Buckeyes team with a new coach and just nine scholarship players -- the league had failed to give its fans a reason to care.

Beyond Michigan State and Purdue, a pair of powerhouses that will meet just once this season on Feb. 10 in East Lansing, Michigan, the league had few attractive matchups to offer.

Sunday's game only extended the boredom.

I don't even know who that freaking is... When you can't even get a huge name (someone I've heard of) that's when you know you should quit.

I think this speaks more to your age than ESPN's competence. Also, I had to look up how well he did in 2017, because I too am an old.

I saw that and cringed too... Why the hell would anyone want a conference where the best team never loses?

So when other #1 teams lose in their conference it's great parity but when it happens in the big ten it's boring?

How does this even make sense and how is this so called journalist allowed to write anything?

Headline says that the B1G is a mess. Isn’t a mess anything but boring? I would think that with the so called good teams only being Sparty and Purdue, that MSU coasting would be boring. Instead, OSU has shown that there might be another good team in the B1G and that it might not go away. Bo-rrrrr-ing!

Ohio State is a great story, and Sunday's victory will help Chris Holtmann establish his brand and vision in Columbus. He can rebuild the Buckeyes, who are now 4-0 in Big Ten play. Archie Miller's leading a short-handed Indiana team into Minneapolis on Saturday and leaving with a win was a fun story, too.

The Boilermakers boast a squad full of hungry vets who have already led the program to wins over Arizona, Louisville and Butler. Michigan is intriguing and has a pair of solid wins over Texas and UCLA.

I'm still excited to see what happens when Purdue and Michigan State meet next month.

Uhh, what? That’s boring?

I'm 32 ain't that old lol...

Besides I don't have the data but I'd imagine most viewers are around my age or older... That said, get a performer that fits the audience I'd think.

If I could pick... Hans Zimmer. He'd just do Batman, Superman, League of their Own, and other shit lol

Well the googles said this:
Kendrick Lamar Earns Third No. 1 Album on Billboard 200
Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. blasts in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 2017’s biggest week for an album: 603,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending April 20, according to Nielsen Music. That’s the most units earned by an album in a single week in nearly a year, since Drake’s Viewslaunched with 1.04 million units in the week ending May 5, 2016. The previous record holder for 2017’s biggest week was the debut of Drake’s More Life, with 505,000 units in the week ending March 23.

As far as what's poppin', you're about 10-13 years past the threshhold.

I'm not a fan of having performers for college games considering bands exist, but yeah...it's definitely you. Kendrick Lamar's been a big name since 2012 and a HUGE name since 2015. My mom's in her 50's and hasn't listened to a rap song since 1999 and she knows who he is.
