This is very true. Watching a sporting event on TV isn't something they do very often. I wonder how broadcasting will change because of it.The thing all broadcast businesses are going to have to deal with in the next 10 years is kids my sons age don't watch entire games.
They love sports, play sports and are as big as sports nuts as any of us were as kids. They do not watch games like we do.
What was the score? Let me see some highlights and get on with my day. I see it every day with every kid my son knows.

Good. Listening to him bitch about every hit gave me CTE.
Wondering how much this is generational, and how much it's the influence of the bombardment of social media, cells, etc. which lead to a shorter attention span.
He was very low key compared to people I can't stand like Gus Johnson (come on people....we scored those 59 points, not him). But you knew before one of his games started that at some point we'd be subjected to another lecture about a hit that maybe was dangerous, maybe wasn't. Either way....he'd launch into another gripe of targeting and it would be harped on for the rest of the game.I know a lot of people disliked Cunningham because he could come across as sanctimonious, but I liked the honesty and his ability to avoid cliched hyperbole. Always thought he was ABC/ESPN's second best color guy behind Blackledge.
On this day in sports history......
