ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

He needs 1 math class or something thats supposed to finish soon... most schools divide Summer into ~3 blocks of 4 weeks each. Any given class could last 1 block or all 3 blocks. Sounds like his class is in the last block.
Which means he will have very little time to practice with the team prior to playing sparty. This whole summer class required to graduate thing really shows something about character/ attitude/ intelligence? I mean really. And then he takes the class at the end of the summer? I feel like he dropped the ball for his future team. He will have less than a month of practice before the season starts.

That's a big leap to say it says something about his character. I imagine that's just when the class was being offered. Not much he can do about that.

  • They're bringing in Vernon Adams, a grad transfer from Eastern Washington and FCS All-American. Not as good as Mariota, but he can play ball.
  • I agree that they'll likely lose some games. Three-loss teams were ranked 8-9-10 and beyond in last season's final AP Poll. If they end up losing three, you can count on them being ranked at the front of that group of teams. #7 in the preseason isn't necessarily far off from your expectations.
I don't think Vernon Adams is official yet. Didn't he have some grade issues?

edit: already asked and answered.

lol @ #s 8-10. No SEC bias at espin.
I am sick of this shit. It looks like an intern did this. Baylor over tcu? We all know tcu was better last year and have more returning. Baylor could easily lose 3 games next year with a shit schedule if they don't find a Qb.
LSU is the king of overrated. I have never seen anyone do less with more than les miles. They can recruit all they want but lsu won't be getting through a season without 2 losses as long as he's around.
What has Georgia done lately? Nothing. They can keep winning 10 games with their schedule but that is their cap. tgey keep getting talked about as a top team year after year but they always have a game or two they they look like freaking Perdue.
The atm had Johnny moneybags. And they still lost what 3 games that season. That's it. I don't know how long they will milk that. I don't think they have a great coaching staff. They don't game plan well. A few good recruiting classes but have a ton of holes. They moved from an offense league to a defense league and have no idea what they are doing. They just get pushed around by big nasties all season.
Ole miss and arky are just living off the hype of the sec west. If each of them can manage 2 division wins they will skyrocket. They don't recruit well. They don't have great coaches. How long can ole miss milk their beating Bama last season? Aggy is still milking it 3 seasons later. Are we going to have to hear about ole miss for another 3 seasons?
Leaving out FSU and Msu all 13 other teams from the PAC is a joke.

I suppose it might if he's 4yrs in and still taking core reqs ... but cant control summer schedule. Offerings are usually limited and only once.
True about practice though he would only have Fall either way.

I see your point, and they could end up deserving of a fringe top-10 ranking with three losses at the end of the season, but I just don't agree with plopping them in the top-10 right off the bat.

I had a question mark in there. When did the news of him transfeereing start? I am asking because I don't know. December? January? February? Whenever the news started it means he was probably discussing it with family and potential coaches a month prior. When does scheduling a class deadline hit? 3-4 weeks into the semester when I was in college. I'm just postulating there is a possibility that he could have scheduled the class in the spring. Or he just did t do an audit to make sure he would graduate? This is simple stuff if you plan. I mean if he didn't think of the possibility of transferring until March then yes he did what he could. If he was thinking about it even as a remote possibility in January he should have scheduled a class then. Hey i was in college and found out in January doing my audit that I was missing a gen ed. I wanted to fuck around and didn't want to take the class and just figured I'd do it over the summer. Ended up costing me a job offer at the time but wound up on my feet anyhow. Literally just did t want to take 4 classes my last semester. Damn was I stupid.

Texas A&M at #8 is so dumb they should water whoever wrote that twice a day. LSU at 5 and Arkansas at 10 are also crazy, but at least LSU has talent everywhere but QB and Arkansas has...well, guys that can run the ball, I guess

lol....What are all these 5-6 loss SEC teams doing in the Top-10?
They practically lost half the games they played last year...Suddenly they are the best in the country?

Oh well...
Ohio State will stomp out all of them!

But didn't you watch Arkansas' masterful game against the Almighty Texas ?
Clearly they're going to be a powerhouse for years to come...
