ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

Apologies for the source from TSUN, but

ESPN analyst Ed Cunningham says Michigan State was the best team this year.
"If you take three quarters out of that season – and those are big quarters, right? – fourth quarter against Oregon, two quarters, the second half against Ohio State, I thought through and through, offensively they're so much more dynamic than people think they are. They run the spread 30-40% of the time, which is something you'd never think of at Michigan State. I think they've grown.
"To me, that's a program, if every year you had to pick a team that could win a championship, I'd bet on them. But for me, saw them twice so I got to study them a bunch, other than those three quarters, the best team I saw."
(emphasis mine)
Jesus Christ. I knew Ed Cunningham was a buffoon, but wow. Year-to-year, Sparty, who has had two good years, is the best bet to win a championship. And because they have a "dynamic offense." Not Urban Meyer...who has won everywhere he's gone. Not Ohio State, who for well over a decade has competed on the national stage. Michigan State...because they've had two good years...the second of which saw them lose their two biggest games in convincing fashion.

It astounds me that people like this are paid, and paid handsomely, to talk about college football.

Shoulda...coulda...woulda. If OSU could rewind and replay 4 quarters with VT at the end of the season.... That's why they play the game on the field not on paper. Ed's probably got a family to feed so he had to write something.
I like Dantonio and all but c'mon. GO BUCKS!!!
4 quarters? Hell, one drive could change that L to a W. Just because the media acts like VT knocked our socks off, don't forget we had a chance to tie that game before JT tossed a pick-6 to seal the deal.

Dude... you have to ignore those poor quarters. They just weren't playing Sparty (Stanford?) football.

Dude is flat one of the biggest morons on the planet. If his analysis made less sense they'd feed him with Miracle-Gro.

"Can they do it again: No. Jones pulled off one of the most spectacular and stunning performances of the season in the Big Ten championship game, but Alabama's defense is hitting its stride, particularly up front. Bama stifled Missouri and is good enough to fluster Ohio State's rookie quarterback"

So Alabama "stifled" the 103rd ranked offfense in the country.....dead last in the SEC and this somehow proves they are "hitting their stride and Ohio State has no chance....bravo Heather Dinich for your outstanding reporting.

Most of the time Cunningham does a decent job of analysis. That said, when he decides to say stupid shit, he goes whole hog. Even if we take out the second half of the OSU-MSU game like he says, OSU still wins 28-21, at their place.

Should be a lot of fun! Both coaches hoarse by the final gun.
