They can't suspend their entire staff. They needed a reason to suspend him. The billboard is the only thing he did that the rest of the staff hasn't.

That's not why Kellerman was suspended. He was suspended because ESPN wants this story to go away, ESPN brass told their on-air employees not to discuss it on air for the most part, and he did it anyway.
