ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

ok this will take a minute to explain....

in past weeks, I've gone to the ESPN website to see the time and TV coverage of the game.

Last week, it had then #8 Ohio State at Indiana and listed BTN with the box set up for the score. Link: http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/scoreboard?seasonYear=2012&seasonType=2&weekNumber=7

THIS week, you have to scroll the entire way down the scores page to see it as an ABC/ESPN2 game. Link: http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/scoreboard?seasonYear=2012&seasonType=2&weekNumber=8

Clearly someone at ESPN is using the AP Poll one week and then the Coaches Poll the next week for their listings. And people like to say ESPN doesn't hate Ohio State :slappy:

Oh yeah, fuck ESPN (just for good measure)

No, they switch over to the BCS Standings once those start coming out.

But fuck ESPN anyway.

Oh yeah, [censored] ESPN (just for good measure)

BCS rankings take precedence now. AP was last week. Also time of the game as well modifies the order.

Honest mistake, but I found it amusing

I'm not sure how many of you watched the Syracuse-UConn game last night, but the five minutes that I caught gave me a little glimpse at ESPN's next crusade. The hurry-up. They were lobbying for a rule change to slow down how quickly offenses can snap the ball. Their excuse was fair play...that it's not fair to the defense if you don't let them get setup. The real reason, in my IMO, is that broadcasters are getting destroyed for missing plays. Broadcasters insist on forcing their B.S. down our throats between plays, and the hurry-up is causing them to either not do their gamebreaks, promos, and general b.s. or look like amateurs everytime they come back to the action too late.

Hopefully this gets rejected quickly, and the broadcasters are forced to adjust, rather than cause a rule change that will actually take away part of the strategy of the game.

Pulled from another board, this was about a broadcast just Thursday night...two weeks after the Irish already played Stanford:
Classic ESPN. Meanwhile last night on espn radio, Linda Cohn and Jonathan Coachman talking about how the Irish need to win to show they are for real, haven't proven anything yet. Suddenly Coachman says about upcoming schedule "they have USC and Stanford still ahead, so we'll see how they do". Cohn asks "where is the Stanford game this year, Coachman "I think it's in South Bend, I"ll have to look it up". Yeah, that makes them real authorities on whether or not they are a good team. Have a F***ing clue if you are going to do a show with discussion about top teams. Epic Failure ESPN.

Shame...I thought the Coach was entertaining when he was a commentator for WWE

ESPN is so transparent that it's just not worth watching anymore.

Seriously, I watch many of the 30-30 documentaries but as far as actual espin programming, it's just not good anymore.

Now, I'm probably not in their demographic anymore and I was spoiled by watching espin from its infancy, but it's more like MTV now. Stupid, argument based shows and agenda driven "news" and highlight shows just aren't for me.

I'll watch the games as I'm not going to let my disdain for them deprive me of watching the games I enjoy, but anything other than that I just don't watch.

I never thought I'd live to see the day where I didn't watch Gameday, but even that has become unwatchable for me.
