*shrug* Dunno. Supposedly OSU isn't even sending him a LOI so he definitely isn't signing with the Buckeyes on Wednesday. Sounds like it'll be either Florida or FSU.Why? What good possibly comes from that? It's a rather bold claim for a pretty inexplicable move.
They have baldwin. They aren't getting someone better. What do they get from breaking up with Emory a few hours before he breaks up with them for good after having plenty of side action?
He might play right away. He also might get his arse handed to him behind that crap O line and end up running for his life, injured or playing at half his potential.
Elite southern player wavers but still eventually signs with osu. Then he doesn’t play year 1 and gets visibly frustrated, and doesn’t play year 2, becomes a distraction and transfers. We’ve seen this before and if the staff saw that as the likely ending I could see them pulling the scholarship. It was fine when he was all buckeye, a guy that Wants to be a buckeye will wait it out for 3 years and will battle for playing time transfer if he loses. If that’s what you begin to expect and you have needs at OT and DE why use up a scholly?Pulling an offer after Baldwin is pretty dumb so I don't believe that. We will just wait and see but I'm not getting my hopes up. He has said over and over again and recently that he is fully committed and it pisses me off that the media has made such an outrage directly towards him asking if he is indeed fully committed which I'm sure bothers him.
Maybe it’s a situation of going from, “hey, you’re our future QB and we need you and are really excited to lock up your commitment” to, “hey, you’re a great kid and we’ve really enjoyed recruiting you, you do you and we know you’ll make a good decision and have a bright future.”Why? Saw on twitter they aren't even sending a LOI. Looks to be officially over
What good does that do? And what are the chances that Bill Greene and Marc Givler are both wildly uninformed about such an extreme stance?Maybe it’s a situation of going from, “hey, you’re our future QB and we need you and are really excited to lock up your commitment” to, “hey, you’re a great kid and we’ve really enjoyed recruiting you, you do you and we know you’ll make a good decision and have a bright future.”
No longer recruiting him doesn’t necessarily mean they turned on a dime and started treating him badly.

Four-star quarterback Emory Jones is making a last-minute visit to Florida, who just lost their quarterback commit, Matt Corral, to Ole Miss. At this late stage of the game, Jones truly seems like a kid who doesn't know where he wants to be. Or possibly, a kid who doesn't have a viable landing spot...
Gleitman from Bucknuts says that OSU basically pulled his offer once Matt Baldwin committed. Guess OSU got tired of him messing around without giving them a straight answer. What an odd recruitment.
Jones flirted for too long with too many teams. Ohio State, Bama, and Auburn all basically walked away, leaving Florida as the last team left.don't agree with that at all. If he had, he would have been committed to Bama or Auburn then.
A kid who is "fully committed" doesn't visit other schools. He especially doesn't visit multiple other schools multiple times. Jones has not been an Ohio State commitment, in any real sense of that word, for a long time now.Pulling an offer after Baldwin is pretty dumb so I don't believe that. Not only the Baldwin timing, but the fact that we also pursued the kid that was committed to UK that is now committed to Miami who's name escapes me.Jones flirted for too long with too many teams. Ohio State, Bama, and Auburn all basically walked away, leaving Florida as the last team left.

Look at the timing of the Baldwin commitment (right after the in-home with Jones) if you don't believe that Ohio State finally got fed up and walked away from Jones.
