Emory Jones (QB Florida, transfer to Arizona St., transfer to Cincinnati)

He will sign with Florida. They have no quaterback and Corral just decommited. Perfect fit Mullen.

We have Haskins for 2 years and Martel for another year. Emory would be a fool to not go start year 1 at Florida.
So he goes and spends a day at UF and that’s enough time to build a relationship with the staff? Because over everything, relationships is what recruits have said they value more than anything.

I just don’t see either UF or FSU being able to build that relationship one week before he signs. If he were at Alabama this weekend, spending the whole weekend, I’d be concerned.

Both UF and FSU get to wave their shiny new coaching staffs for Emory. They are both gonna claim he is going to be the key player to start a new era at... Don't underestimate the shiny new toy being waved in front of a 17 year old

Shiny new toys combined have proven nothing! All either can claim is being the OC for Tebow and that coach you’re committed to. And Dak Prescott.

That and Taggart probably has the duffel bag full of $$$ prepared for him, if he’s willing to flip to FSU. Still not buying a player who’s been committed to Ohio State for a year and a half just buying into one visit to Florida or FSU.

Yeah, second- or third-string QBs at Ohio State never get to suddenly become the starter due to injuries...

I thought he visited UF last year some? I don't think this is his first interest in UF. I recall him kind of dissing our offense and then talking about UF and I was thinking WTF? UF's offense had been hot garbage for several years at that point. If anyone was going to make fun of an offense, it shouldn't have been a Gator fan.

I think us taking Baldwin speaks VOLUMES though. Maybe we still get him but I am not feeling like we will.

He visited Florida in April of 2016, and was offered by them shortly after. If he was truly interested in Florida, IMO he would have used one of the 5 or however many visits he used to visit Alabama this year. He hasn’t visited or been visited by Florida coaches since April 2016, according to the 247 timeline.

Truth: Jalen can only wish he threw like Emory. Jalen's arm is his weakness. Calling Emory a "clone" of Jalen should refer to nothing more than his hair

I've never seen a HS player spin the ball live like Emory. He's on a completely different level (albeit when he's healthy). He throws accurate lasers and makes it looks effortless. At Friday Night Lights in Columbus a couple years ago, Emory was the best player on the field as a junior and made Tate Martell look silly with his throws. He's a game changer, the same way Deshaun Watson was at Clemson, the way Tim Tebow was at Florida, the way Justin Fields looks to be on his way to Georgia. No matter where he goes, Ohio State... Alabama... Florida... if he can get the mental part down, you're going to have a hard time keeping him off the field, depth charts be cursed. Tate knows he has to get his game up if and when Emory signs on the dotted line for Ohio State

Baldwin's going to be a good one, don't get me wrong, and I'm really glad we've got him. Emory's something special though. I really hope he sticks with us and helps us lead this team to rings
