High School Early Ohio State Title Picks

well i saw colerain at state last year and IMO from what i saw at the state game sherrer was every bit as good as simpson. hes real quick and good with his feet. the biggest question they had coming into this year was the qb which is obviously the nucleus of a triple option. when i watched them play tyler lee i thought a new qb did a commendable job and i thought they did a solid job. if X and colerain played now its obviously debatable as to who would win and it will prolly end up being the matchup in R4. people are looking back at colerain now though because they went scoreless vs you in the first game of the year then went on to handle lee and crushed lakota east 42-3. true their schedule is pretty weak but X's, while better, isnt that impressive either. your hardest games were honestly prolly cathedral and de sales so far so thats hard to say. st X only won 7-0 against colerain with a new qb on a triple option offense so its easy to swing either way. ill wait for the playoffs to see who wins. im picking glenville anyways. the big players seem down for the most part and glenville has talent out the ass.

It is the Bombers year, finally. Ashley didn't play much against Colerain, he is now the man. X's D is suffocating, to put it mildly. I think they will finally bring home the crown this year.

Even though they lost Wilson- a huge loss-DeSales will be a force to be reckoned with in III, and Watterson will be tough in II. If Ballard is healthy, Springboro has the horses to make a run in II.

EDIT: Also, in other news, Moeller's junior QB who recently quit the team transferred in to X today. Most Moeller fans felt he should've been playing, but he finally had enough of Crable's circus and quit. His name is Ryan Morris, and his older brother graduated from X in '04. Many have felt that QB was the biggest question mark going into next year, as we have a junior that didn't play this year and a sophomore that's been dealing with injuries the last two years as the two main candidates. If Morris is able to play and X wins state this year, let me be the first to call back to back

so about versailles winning state:)..........although i am not shocked it was a great game thats for sure dramatic in fashion. versailles seems to still have their big problem......passing the ball. they were not very good passing and it hurt their running attack as well. most of their offense was composed of screens and out patterns but it worked for them. LCC had opportunities to put this game away quite a few times but didnt execute and they definitely need to keep their head in the game. when versailles missed their extra point with under a minute to go all the LCC players were so happy they they were going delusional thinking they had already won and i know hetrich is to good of a coach to let your guard down. versailles was focused and LCC looked confused and lost once they got back on the field again. they actually had the onside in their hands but the kid dropped it and versailles picked it up. versailles drove down the field and had 12 sec left and no timeouts. i figured they were either going to run a pass play and then throw it out of bounds or they were going to throw a short dump pass and run out of bounds......welp they ran the dump pass........one problem you have to get out of bounds. the kid turned around real quick to run out of bounds and just straight fell and then mass hysteria went wild and before versailles could even setup for the fg it was over. i really do feel bad for the kid who fell. he did it on numerous occasions all night. just not his night and he randomly fell with nobody touching him. i wish the kid the best. LCC has anna next. patrick henry astonished me the troubles they had with elmwood but they came back and got the W.

it definitely was a dramatic game. worth the $8 for sure. i am planning on watching LCC/anna this week in piqua to see how good that game is and to get a final judgement of how good anna is. not that i can blame people but everybody jumping on the LCC bandwagon now and considering them a favorite to win DV just because they beat versailles which really bothers me. LCC is solid but they are in no way state title material and i am a supporter of them. people have the argument that "you have to beat the best to be the best"...........what the hell is saying versailles was the best? granted i picked them to beat LCC but i figured it to be a competitive and close game and i still have patrick henry as the favorite and IMO i think trace doesnt have a chance against them. not tryin to be an ass but im just bein realistic from seeing both teams play. i suppose i am just disappointed in a lot of fans immediately picking LCC as the state favorite just because they beat versailles. before that game not a single person even considered them. i could honestly see them struggling or losing to anna its an interesting game that i plan to be at in piqua.
