I searched but didn't find such a thread for dumb questions. If there is already such a thread, please merge. I often have a simple or dumb question, so why not have a thread for it.

For instance, why do people get all up in arms about the "loss of down" when called for intentional grounding? Intentional grounding is essentially just acknowledging that a sack occurred. Basically saying that the QB was sacked - where of course you move to the next down. I never saw this as a big deal.
 
Has nothing to do with anything, but I guess isn't that kind of the point of this pointless thread? I guess it has to be in the form of a quesiton though, so here:

When I google searched "up in arms" I found this funny photo. Out of the trillions of random photos online, have you seen this before?

Didn't people used to call them "Home and Aways" ? That still seems more natural to me. But maybe that's just from a bygone era on ESPN's message boards in a time when RichRod was still at WVU and people were talking about Rutgers and UL going to NCGs.
