Duke Blue Devils (that rat faced scumbag)

Coach K: Didn't live up to standards

In a stunning announcement, Duke junior guard Rasheed Sulaimon was dismissed from the program on Thursday. The Houston native had not previously been disciplined, at least publicly, all season.

"Rasheed has been unable to consistently live up to the standards required to be a member of our program," coach Mike Krzyzewski said in a release. "It is a privilege to represent Duke University and with that privilege comes the responsibility to conduct oneself in a certain manner. After Rasheed repeatedly struggled to meet the necessary obligations, it became apparent that it was time to dismiss him from the program."

Sulaimon is the first player to be dismissed from the program in the entire tenure of Krzyzewski, the school confirmed.

Coach K kept Sulaimon on the team for a year after he learned of rape allegations by multiple women. Then today K declined to comment.

I can see why you may not punish a player who has not been charged with a crime, but then again you're Coach K and you can do whatever the hell you want at Duke, and surely if you can kick Sulaimon off the team now you could've done it a year ago. And then you stand by and say "no comment" when alleged victims say they were discouraged from going to the authorities because of the fanaticism that you worked hard to create. I think he could at least publicly speak out against sexual assault, encourage victims to go to the authorities and condemn any fan that would discourage a victim from pursuing charges. But yeah, Coach K who has so much to say about court storming and whether Maryland should be in the ACC or B1G, but he hasn't a thing to say when confronted with the issue of one of his players raping women.

I've never bought into the Krezewski myth. Any coach who is consistently maintaining a talent pipeline to the Chicago Public League is dirty. Period. Sure, you can go in there once in awhile and get a player without it meaning anything underhanded went on, but if you're pulling top talent out of there year after year, you are getting down and dirty with the corrupt coaches, street agents and assorted "uncles" and other hangers on.

Actually I think he is a little bit comparable to JoePa. He built up the Duke aura, didn't want anything negative associated with Duke, and continued to leave a player accused of multiple sexual assaults on the team and perhaps enable him to continue. A man who had plenty of power to do whatever he wanted with his team yet did nothing until after a staffer resigned in protest.

Ord you are a little off on this one. He recruits Chicago so well because he is Polish and you know all of those Afro-American Polish people in the Chicago public school system

I guess the other thing that bothers me about Sulaimon's suspension is the fact that you have on these ass hole announcers from that school on the shit network and not one of them knew that he was suspended because of rape allegations. I mean maybe if it was Dickie V I could understand but all these other ass holes (including Seth Greenberg) obviously are just too stupid to do any investigative reporting and just take Coach Kshit's word.
