I feel like the only way anything happens is if the IRS gets involved and starts unraveling these payment schemes. You can't give someone $100K+ without anybody paying taxes, and I doubt the government is getting their cut since those directly involved are claiming the payments are not being made.

It would also seem like you could get the DOJ/FBI involved to see where all the money is coming from and how it was changing hands.

If you'll recall, Ed Martin was paying players in Ann Arbor with money he was laundering from a gambling ring.

I'd love to grab some popcorn and watch that show unfold.
