Duck Hunters..........

My neighbor is a big duck hunter. He finally has his duck dog too as he bought a lab pup earlier this year. I think they are both ready for the season to begin as he has been working with the dog all summer. I'm sure he will be out every opportunity he has.

Texasize.....don't worry about some of these comments. Not too many sportsmen on this site and it's a pretty exclusive 'gentleman's click' here in central Ohio. Likewise I bet their aren't too many metro-sexuals in Texas.

The duck hunting is typically average at best here in central Ohio.....most people I know tend to go to Michigan for the better hunting or to other states such as North Dakota or Arkansas. I went through Stuttgart once when I was on my way down to the Sugar Bowl in '98 and wish I would have brought my shotgun and some shells.....awesome.

I hear the wingshooting is pretty good there too.....not sure if you do that. This fall's dove harvest has been exceptional and I can't wait to start hunting for pheasant and rabbit in November.

That's cool, ekeen. I didn't know how many here hunted. If you're ever in south central Texas for any reason, pm me & let me know. Excellent duck hunting on the bay & surrounding marshes , world class dove hunting, and saltwater fishing year-round.Or, I could take you to out & bag a hog with a knife (or gun if you prefer).

Pretty safe practice actually, VR. More danger in a pit or kerr reattaching to your arm instead of the hog ,than the hog sticking you. Some people don't want to get close & prefer a pistol but the knife is 100X more efficient. That's why we use a knife.
