If he get's his academics in order he is a Buckeye IMO. Still needs to raise GPA and get test score. Sounds like he is making progress. Good news.

Im not sure of that, I've heard that he is a huge UM fan and is just waiting for an offer. If they dont offer, he is all OSU, but if they do offer, he will go there.

I don't think UM will be offering any time soon, if at all. Maybe if they miss on everyone else on their board, but he had a chance to get his offer, but didn't do enough to get one from the coaches.

yeah....i definitely put more stock in rr's ability to evaluate talent than Coach Tressel's; ALL because rr has been a proven commodity in this business longer than our head coach. :roll1:

go figure.

How much stock would you put in MD ability to evaluate talent?

Honestly I think all will admit he has the talent to play at an OSU/UofM/MSU, but I think at UofM they are wondering about his work ethic more so than his talent.

Different coaches. Different styles. Different beliefs in their abilities to motivate the guy to get and stay in shape.

Tressel has a proven track record. RR's track record isn't bad, but there's no real comparison.

Johnathon Hankins - College Football Recruiting 2010 - ESPN

Johnathon Hankins (Detroit, Mich./Southeastern) updated ESPN affiliate Web site Bucknuts.com on the current status of his recruitment.

"Right now Ohio State is my favorite," Hankins said. "I'm pretty close to the coaches. I really liked it down there. And it is close to home."

In addition to the Buckeyes, Hankins is also considering Virginia, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Illinois.

As a junior, the No. 44-rated DT registered 85 tackles (55 solo) and nine sacks.

Jonathan says he will take an official to UVA for their opener and if the visit goes well, he may not need more visits. He is also considering and claiming offers from Ohio State, Illinois, Wisconsin and Oklahoma.

Why would the success of the UVA visit make him not want to take anymore, if OSU leads? Just sounds like if UVA is a good visit he'll go to UVA?

1. He already has a good idea of the other schools he's interested in, so UVA is the last one on his list to get a feel for, or...
2. He still doesn't have a solid offer from OSU and UVA is the best available out of his official offers.

I would go with #2...and let's be honest...despite UVA's stellar academic reputation, they have gut quite a few corners when it comes to football players over the last few years and seem to have no problem taking kids who are academic risks and stashing them at Hargrave for a year.

They must do the same thing with the coaches.
