DT Doug Worthington (Official Thread)

From Rivals:

Another top prospect that is looking to take other visits while the NCAA examines the program is defensive end Doug Worthington. He will visit Florida and Boston College after his weekend visit to Alabama, but still considers himself a strong commitment.

"I'm really just waiting to see what kind of trouble Ohio State could get in," Worthington said. "No one will really know until after Feb. 2 so it's a tough decision for me to make right now. Hopefully all of these visits will clear my mind."

true but just curious

"This was my best visit I've been to," Worthington said.
He is still committed to Ohio State at the moment.

He is still commited to OSU but keeping his options open and waiting on the OSU NCAA outcome to see if things get worse. He's going to sit down with his dad and look at things like the depth charts and see where he fits.

Worthington Gives The Latest By Dave Biddle Assistant Editor
Date: Jan 11, 2005

Doug discusses his visit to Alabama and his upcoming Florida trip. Nothing new but he is very adament about his commitment to tOSU. He also discusses the negative recruiting tactics that many coaches are using. Blatant lies and fabricated stories are used each time he talks to a coach but he says he is beyond that and nothing but word from the NCAA will change his status with tOSU. He specifically mentions already looking at the schedule and being excited to play Texas.

I'm confident that Mr. Worthington signs with us, but I'm interested to see what the other coaches are trying to use to make him reconsider.. its BN premium
