Redskins waive DE Worthington and TE Peterson, add WR Henderson, K Potter

The Washington Redskins have given defensive end Doug Worthington and tight end DeAngelo Peterson the waived-injured designation, the team confirmed. They also announced that they have signed former New Orleans Saint Devery Henderson, making him the second wide receiver signed by the team on Wednesday. Earlier, they signed Donte Stallworth.
Worthington suffered an injury to a biceps tendon that could require surgery to repair, Coach Mike Shanahan said on Tuesday.
Peterson, meanwhile, broke a bone in one of his feet last week, the coach said.
Both are backup players that were hoping to make Washington?s roster this season.
If they go unclaimed, those players will go on injured reserve, And the Redskins would pay for their rehab.
