Doug Worthington's name does not seem to pop up much so far. Is Wilson that good or is Worthington having some trouble getting acclimated. Seems Worthington was the bigger hype coming in

I think he's in the mix and could play. We'll know if he's in there against Miami. Gholston's injury may open the door for him a little bit, perhaps.

From the Press Luncheon this week...

Scout defensive player of the week was Doug Worthington. And Doug is going to be an outstanding defensive end. We're red-shirting him this year, which I think is great for him. We came down, as we went into the opening part of the season, and we knew we wanted to red shirt one of the two young defensive ends between Lawrence and Doug, and also Ryan Williams, and so we ended up being able to red-shirt two of the three, which I think is going to be a great thing for us in the future, and Doug is going to be a good player.

The depth at DE is just going to be ridiculous next year and the years to come especially if we can pull in 2 out of Dublin, Wesley, Matthews. I see Rose staying at DT.

I love Worthington's size I think he is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the next couple years. He reminds me of the DE for BC that has a really weird name. Mathias KIwinuka?.

Isn't he the guy that the Virginia kid took a cheap shot at this year?

He got a ton of hype early in the season for a 5th year senior with career numbers like this...

I saw Doug the other day. When he came out the door, my friend just started to burst out laughing uncontrollably. Simply put. The Man is HUGE! (master of the obvious). Rediculously huge, outragously huge, laugh out loudably huge...

I wouldn't want to laugh at him on the feild.

I go to school with Doug's cousin...just found that out today.

Was wearing my OSU hat, and some kid I [somewhat] know came up and yanked it off and said "Ohio State? pfft..(jokingly), but really they're cool, my cousin plays for them." Me: who's your cousin? him: doug worthington, me: ah, sweet, from NY right? him: yep, Buffalo NY.

Just thought that was cool. Small world as they say.

Worthington and Williams will be receiving medical redshirts and sit out he year again becuase of the knee injuries. My question about them though... do they still have 4 years of eligability? Both took a regular redshirt and then a medical redshirt year?
