St. Xavier senior center Brandyn Cook (Miami University signee) and Taft senior defensive lineman Adolphus Washington (Ohio State signee) have won the Anthony Mu?oz Foundation Offensive and Defensive Linemen awards respectively.
The players have been informed of the awards and will be honored formally Tuesday night at the Westin during the 45th National Football Foundation banquet.
Cook, who is 6 feet 2 and 290 pounds, was a three-year starters for the Bombers and a captain. He was named to Sports Illustrated?s All-American Honorable Mention list for this past season.
Washington, who is 6 feet 4 and 260 pounds, was a U.S. Army All-American and a five-star recruit from Rivals.com.

KETTERING ? Senior center Adolphus Washington scored 26 points and Taft withstood a fourth-quarter rally by Dayton Thurgood Marshall to beat the Cougars 76-67 Thursday night at Trent Arena in a Division II regional semifinal.
The Senators (20-4) advance to play Dayton Dunbar in Saturday?s regional final at 3 p.m. Dunbar, 25-0 and ranked No. 1 in the state, beat Columbus Eastmoor Academy 52-35 in the first semifinal.
