Well... I don't want to engage in thread review... but my original post was in response to someone lamenting that whites aren't allowed to be proud to be white for fear of being called racist. And I was pointing out the rationale for the Black Pride and Gay Pride movements was as a response to very real discrimination felt by those groups.
White heterosexual males have nothing to fear... except the loss of their centuries-old advantages. Equality truly is a scary thing for some of them. And so neo-Nazis developed "White Pride" as a response to having to deal with society pressuring them to accept members of other groups as equals. That's why "white pride" isn't typically an acceptable thing while "black pride" and "gay pride" are. I was just saying that it's going to be ok for white people. The last few decades of progress (for blacks) and the last few years of progress (for gays) isn't going to be the end of the world for them.

I guess it depends on the definition of "racism".
I think the discrimination version of the word was worse back then i.e. I won't give you a job just because you are black.
Today, I think it seems worse because people use "racism" to describe any stereotype or acknowledgement there of and they are taught by the media/pop culture that they should be hyper sensitive to it.
In my simple little mind if you say the Irish are a bunch of drunken, potato eating brawlers I either laugh or think you are a complete moron based on how serious I think you are being. Either way it isn't a crime against humanity.
If you say you will not offer employment, housing or enter into any kind of exchange with someone because they are Irish then I think you are a racist and should suffer consequences as appropriate by law (not the law of public opinion).

And here's yet another example, implying that all white males are absolutely terrified at the thought of non-white, non-hetero, non-male are have become intergral parts of society. I can't speak for all older white dudes, but I've never had a problem with anyone due to their ethnicity, gender, beliefs, sexual habits, or whatever. What I do have a problem with is being type-cast as the stereotypical crodgetty old Cleatus or Elrod who wants nothing more than the world to be pure white, just because I happen to be a Caucasian make in his late 50s.
By the way, I'm well aware of the evolution of pride groups--all of ethnicities and preferences--since I've been around for the creation of the vast majority of them. Blacks used to get pissed when whites compared the Black Panthers to the NAACP (back when the NAACP actually did shit for blacks), so you'll have to excuse whites folks for getting angry when they get lumped in with the Klan just for saying they're proud to be white.

I don't really get this sentiment. Or, rather, I don't necessarily get where you think the original sentiment arises from.
I mean, I get that some people think in this zero sum game kind of way, but, its just a game of envy and hate, by all the players. I suppose if there are only 10 jobs down at the mill and 10 more black people are allowed to get them, or whatever, that lessens your chances, but, I personally don't think that way. I suppose some people do, but, it strikes me as a marxist social justice view of the universe. Of course we live in an environment that the national conversation is about economic inequality, not economic growth. More hatred and envy. It's not becoming of anyone.
I'm still trying to calculate how gay progress is bad for white people. Especially gay white people.

What's going on today is cultural marxism. The was thing arrived to how they are, or rather were, was a sort of natural order. Things fell the way they were meant to be. Cultural marxism has been slowly implemented into our society for many years and has picked up steam at an alarming rate the last 20-25 years. It more or less tries to fit round pegs into square holes, it tries to disrupt nature and natural selection. It uses euphemisms to push it's agenda and indoctrinate the weak minded emotionally driven mind, words like "equality","progress" and "tolerance". We know it's not only unnatural and a lie because as we know, a truth is known inside of our hearts, when we know the truth there's no need to yell and scream whereas the liar will scream, stomp his feet and threat violence or wish death upon you in order to sell his lie. That's why in many parts of the world where this has taken a deeper hold it's a crime to say certain things about so called "victim groups", even if it's the truth. It's a way of silencing your opposition. It's a literal brainwashing. Books like 1984, Animal Farm and Brave New World were way ahead of it's time in predicting this.
Equality sounds great in theory but it's not realistic. It's like when you play a one on one sport, say racquetball and you let your weaker opponent win just for the sake of making him feel less weak. That's what cultural marxism does, it oppresses the so-called "oppressors" and artificially elevates the weak, the so called "oppressed". Those who react emotionally buy into this garbage because in their minds it sounds fair but if you look at it logically from a critical thinker's standpoint you see that unnatural but also unfair. Political correctness has made it taboo to point out the truth, the facts or anything that goes against this way of thinking. I could post dozens or links that are nothing but unbiased data, facts and stats that would not reflect well on certain victim groups. It would likely upset many here and possibly earn me a ban but it wouldn't change the data one iota. When truth is ignored in favor of an idea and people choose to look the other way you're headed down a dangerous road.
This post here is one of the most logical views of homosexuality that I've ever read. It's not offensive but will likely rustle the jimmies of those who have been indoctrinated to believe that homosexuality is just as natural as heterosexuality. This is merely an opinion but one that I find very straightforward and unbiased, a thinking man's opinion.

If it's a government run mill then let them have, government doesn't use the profit motive so whatever they gotta do to make themselves feel like they're helping the community so be it. If it's my mill however I should have the right to hire the ten best candidates, the ten most likely to help my business. I don't care what skni tone they have or which language they speak.
