Does anybody know anything about cars?

Unfortunately, I don't..I drive a 99 Camry and last night it started making an odd noise..I wanna say it was coming from the front passenger side almost near the tire..It was like a thumping noise..I couldn't figure out what it was..I was able to drive it home but now I can't even start the car. There was a huge pot hole at the gas station last night that I didn't even see because of the rain and all that and it might have done something but I have no idea? Anybody help me out? Thanks.

On the late 90's Camry's there was a known issue with the hemoglobbin. What you need to do is first, fill your washer fluid with the top of the line washer fluid, Elmer's Paste. It has some other uses too, but best for window washing fluid. Have you tried putting sugar in the gas tank? I heard that gives your car extra energy. Finally, if you look in the engine compartment there will be a few wires. For whatever reason, Toyota put a few too many in there and the battery gets over-worked. Find the battery and unhook the RED one. Not the black one, that should get you going right away.

So I have no idea what that is? haha. Do I replace that or what? Cost?

Damn. You might not have even been born when that movie was made.

If that doesn't work, you attach the red clamp to your left nipple. (Make certain it is your LEFT nipple, not your right. You don't want to know what would happen if you attached it to your right.) Now keep the black one attached to the battery, put your tongue on that connection, and have a friend turn the key. Works like a charm every time.

And never, EVER, do anything someone on BP tells you is a good idea.

Never do anything anyone on BP tells you EXCEPT me and BUcky Katt. You can take our advise to the bank.
And make sure you only attach that clamp to your left nipple with your right foot off the ground.

Exactly right. Ttown is straight money.

Whew! I can't believe I forgot the bit about the right foot. That would have been ugly. Good catch, man!

Thumping noise from near the right front tire? Camrys are known to be very reliable cars, so I think it's likely somebody ziptied a homeless person to your firewall, and he/she is trying to get your attention. Open the hood and cut the poor bastard out.

Might be the starter, alternator, or battery. If you have power and your lights work it is not the battery. Does the car turn over at all and sound like it may start? If the car is trying to start it is not the starter. You may also want to check your belts and see if you maybe missing one (could account for the thumping noise....)

The belt may be it. My dad thinks it's the timing belt. I heard they aren't expensive but a pain to install?

My understanding is that the timing belt is rather expensive because it is hard to access. If it goes out, it can fuck up the entire engine.
